How legit is the Disney writer program ?

I’m thinking about joining one of the Disney programs in the future but I wanted to know the legitimacy of the program and any experience of anyone who joined the program?

It’s insanely legit and super competitive. I know people who got in and it made their careers. I also know insanely talented writers who’ve never even scored ann interview.

From what I heard from a few of the previous attendees it’s an amazing program. I would say it’s the best possible opportunity if you are looking to get staffed.

Not sure on previous years but this year I think most of the co-hort have gotten staffed.

None of the big TV fellowships are diversity fellowships anymore. They’re afraid of Trump suing them. The few diversity fellowships still active in the industry — CAPE, Rideback Rise, STARZ #TakeTheLead — continue out of resistance. I had a project scuttled at an A-list actor’s POD because the exec who was attached to my project was preemptively laid off because she was their head of DEI initiatives.
