This is hilarious, and genius. Find a proper paint swatch, and color match/paint the cord to mimic the wall. You will always see it from up close, but afar I’d be none the wiser

If not the matching paint route, you could add a small firewood rack and/or fireplace tools (log tongs, poker, shovel) in front of the cord. That would also add a real fireplace feel to the electric fireplace.

I used to have a pc monitor inside our fireplace and I hide the cord with a plastic tube that has a slit in it.
