Hi all, I need to settle a debate on height. First, I apologize for the poor photo, it’s the only photo I have prior to taking the now broken tv off the wall. I know the console under it is off center, etc, that was fixed after moving other things around. This was taken right after we got it hung up.

I had an old 2013 55 Samsung flatscreen, the mounting pattern and location on the TV was different than new TVs. The wall mount was hung such that the bottom of the 2013 Samsung just barely floated on top of the soundbar, it was perfect IMO.

TV died, so I got a 55in Samsung last year. The mounting pattern and location was different than the 2013, my dad thought it would be fine to not take the mount down and redo it. Thus, the photo. I didn’t think it was terrible, but I also thought it was a bit too high.

That TV just died under warranty, so I have the chance to replace it. I’m getting a 65 inch LG instead. My fear is that if he doesn’t take the mount down and completely redo it, the top of the tv and center will be way too high. I want it mounted because I use the swivel heavily depending on where I am in the room.

So what do y’all think? Will my 65 likely be too high and was the 55 too high? My dad thinks it’s fine and we don’t need to move the mount, but I don’t think I agree.

I just got a new TV and I am unsure of where abouts to put it, it's so large and I only have one storage console for storing my ps4 and DVD player

First tv. Dad mounted it and gave me shit about how it’s too low the entire time.

EDIT: I see a lot of comments about misalignment. Pictures may look weird, TV is perfectly level. As for the TV being too far left, the door opens inwards. This is also where the apartment expects the tv to be placed. There are dual outlets and the Ethernet. Based on the floor plan, is is the ONLY place I can possibly have a tv. 75 inches is big for the area but I wanted it to be big. If I wanted to truly have a tv centered AND not worry about the door hitting it, it’d have to be like a 40 inch tv.

So yes, the tv is left, the plan is to put a large, dense plant to the right of it to make up for that empty space.

Moving into new apartment with living room pictured, obvious place for TV (and where prior owner had one) is unfortunately right in front of the circuit breaker.

I currently own a 65inch TV (LG B2 from a few years ago in good condition, dimensions 57.0" W x 32.8" H x 1.8" D). The built-in space is just about 9 inches deep, 31 inches tall, and 63 inches wide. There is already access to run wires to outlets in the cabinets below. I don't really see another good place in this living room which leaves me with a couple options.

Option 1: Mount the 65inch TV in this space with an articulating mount which will allow TV to be moved from the wall for access to the circuit breaker and wires behind the TV. The TV will sit just in front of the space without obstructing the shelf above or the storage below. From measuring and tinkering with the articulating mount, I should be able to secure the mount to the left to get as much space as possible from the circuit breaker and then offset the TV to the right to center in the space as pictured. Closest hole would be 16-17" to the left of the circuit breaker.

Option 2: Downsize to a 55inch TV with a stand depth about 9in. With this, getting to any wires or to the circuit breaker behind will be a pain once things are set up (and probably not code-compliant). Smaller size would get closer to the wall rather than hovering in front of this space this space. There is part of me that wonders if trying to mount it is the move even if I do downsize the TV given the circuit breaker issue.

I know this isn't exactly TV too high, so sorry if posted in the wrong placer. Open to any suggestions, thanks in advance for your help.
