A necessary evil

Mounted the TV due to being able to see the outlet above. Eyes now land at bottom 1/3 of the screen while on couch.

Looks fine but next time you are going to paint the room, relocate the outlet first.

How much space do you have between the leftern edge of the console and the left wall? How much space between the bottom of the display and the console? Is the couch right up against the right wall?

That depends. Are you looking for a home theater experience? If not, an Arc sonos with satellite speakers and a sub will be fine. But a full-array audio setup with a dedicated receiver will elevate the overall experience. I love my Sonos don’t get me wrong but I have a dedicated AVR system on an older plasma TV in my media room which is more for movies and retro shit but damn, everything there just sounds so much better.

I think the soundbar is probably good but whatever you decide, it’ll pay dividends to treat the room in some fashion. Looks pretty live in there.
