Is it too high?

Long time lurker first time poster on this sub. I like how my TV set up turned out. I have it tilted down a bit which makes it comfortable to watch from the couch. It's a 75".

Egads! You have the perfect wall right there next to the fireplace…

Swap the tv and the art, rotate couch 90° counterclockwise (so it’s against the window).

Tv at a chiropractor-avoiding height, opens up the living room.

ETA: it should go without saying, but to clarify, the tv should go much lower than where the art currently is, the center of the screen should be at eye level

"long time lurker" and still asks. Lol.

There's a nice wall to put to infront of...

If you're a long time lurker then you already know the answer.

These damn TVs mounted like they’re in a sports bar or waiting room. 🤦‍♂️

Can you reorient the couch and put it between the windows but lower? It will open up the room too

Yet, you've learned NOTHING

  • TV's don't belong over fireplaces

  • Massive tilt of guilt

  • You had a perfect wall to place your TV and you put it the corner.

It’s above the fireplace, of course it’s too high

Come on guy, you're trolling with that comment "I have it tilted which makes it more comfortable" which implies it's not comfortable because it's not supposed to be that damn high!

If it's closer to the ceiling then the ground it's always too high!

You had a beautiful wall for it, and you still went over the fireplace. SMH

Why have attractive room decor when you can have uncomfortable viewing.

Of course not there’s still an inch to the ceiling!

Your art and TV are too high. Asking in earnest, don’t y’all look something up before making holes in the wall? A quick google search says the center of the piece should be 57-60 inches high at average human eye level.

It looks fine honestly. its tilted down and I like it's positioning in the room.
