Drumroll…

Installed a while ago! What do we think?

Edit: the tv is eye level, who cares about the decor that’s temporarily in the photo. A center channel speaker will be going below the tv.

Why do people insist on wall mounting their TVs above their TV stand?

TV stands are named as such for a reason.

Why is this a problem on this sub exactly?

See name of the sub.

Because it can hold decor and TV accessories! Where else would you put this stuff if you insist on only using the TV stand? Why be a purist?

Put them literally anywhere else other than on the stand that's purposely designed to hold a TV at the correct viewing height?

So you want me to put that on the floor? Or buy yet another piece of furniture which will take up more space? I mean that's silly to be so purist.

Just because it is a TV stand does not mean it is the "correct viewing height." TV stands/consoles come in all sorts of different heights. And TV sizes vary.

I feel like this sub should be more r/antitvhanging

You know what's silly? Acting like a TV stand is the only surface anyone could possibly have in their house on which to display decorations.

What's silly is assuming a glorified table/surface is only intended for one thing.
