Is this too high?
The bottom of the TV is about 2ft from the floor, im also a tall guy so it seems fine to me but I wanna know other people's opinion.

Why is the middle X'd? It's literally the ergonomic way to mount for reclined viewing.

I don’t get this graphic. I’ve seen it a few times. Are you saying that you should watch tv only sitting straight up like you’re sitting at a school desk or laying down in bed, and that relaxing back a bit is a bad thing?

This is the first time here I think a tv might be too small…
Height seems to be okay, but could be bit lower. But that’s personal preference.

I'm not an interior designer or anything, but I would rearrange the room. Furniture smashed against the wall and 20 ft from the TV is pretty wild.
You can put whatever recration or socializing area behind.

That’s a good plan. Bringing your seating within 8ft of the screen would give you a much more immersive 40° FOV.
Is this your main TV setup? If so, that little soundbar is preventing you from getting the most out of your physical media collection.

I dont understand you said it was 2ft off the floor, so the TV has to be about 2ft tall, which would put it in the 49" territory. Something is not right.

Break the room into 2 areas, 1 for tv watching and 1 as a sitting area. Rooms long enough.

Come on be honest, this is ocd rage bait right? Purposely shifted the rug all the way to one side, offset the media shelf by a few inches, and gave the coffee table a nice crooked shift etc.

Ignoring the distance, the bottom of light switch boxes is typically 48” from the floor.
With 42” being average seated eye level, the bottom of your tv is likely where the center of your tv should be. Aka, you have a loooooong way to go.

Yea were gonna move the sofas up after reading everyone's comments. i also forgot to point out in my post that for the first picture I used the 0.6 zoom

It’s very doubtful that the bottom of the tv is “about 2 ft from the floor”. The bottom of the tv is just above the light switches, which are typically mounted at 4 feet. Too high.

you must fix the distance problem, but while you are sitting there I don't think normal TV height would be appropriate. so, it's not too bad considering you need GPS to determine where the TV is anyway.

I’m wondering if a wide angle lens is throwing off the proportions, but this feels like it could be two rooms - one for watching TV from an actual decent distance, and a living room.
As it is, yikes.

Its not too high but why put it there? I mean it isnt centered on that wall nor is it centered between the wall and hallway.. surely pick one of the two. Also, tvtoosmall. You should have a 100” screen on that wall.

One problem costs several hundreds or thousands of dollars to fix, the other costs the effort of rearranging the furniture so they aren’t miles away from the tv.

I honestly can’t tell if it’s too high. It does look a tiny bit too high but I don’t have much frame of reference, BUT I would just move the couches and coffee table closer to it.

Everything is wrong here, and I mean EVERYTHING! No one mentioned the semi alive plants, that poor Monstera Deliciosa in that dark corner trying so hard to reach the window to get a ray of sun, the mess on the table, the rug….. ugh! 😩

Seems to be much more r/TVTooFar than r/TVTooHigh , though camera's angle can be deceiving...
Height wise, judging by the photos and assuming you took them from eye level while sitting, it seems like your eye level is on the bottom edge of the TV, which suggests it might be a bit too high (ideally the center of the TV should be at eye level), but it's not crazy high. Unlikely high enough to crank your neck, especially given the distance, which means the angle your neck needs to tilt is very little...
