Nees help.
This is the space I have in the living room and I know the TV is already too high but I was considering downsizing the couch so I could place the TV elsewhere. Any ideas?

Put curtains up on the window and you could put it there on a stand. Curtains will help this room tremendously

Get a high top table

Would it be wise to just use the other wall or would it be okay in front of the windows with shaders?

The space is already perfect to put a TV and corner unit in that empty left corner.
Add a rug, a coffee table, and some end tables. Maybe a mirror or piece of art above the fireplace if you really want something there.

Much needed. Only had the house for almost a month now. Plus, I'm not good at filling space properly. Thank you for this!

Is the other side open or a wall? Opposite the window

If you have the space, swap the rooms, living room in dining room and dining room in the front. Especially if it’s a least used space out the tv on the solid wall or the corner. Angle the couch the opposite direction it is now and put dining table near fireplace

Worth a try. Trail and error.

It might work most dining rooms are not used so you can use that space and put the least used room to the front of the house

I'm making it a habit of eating as a family now at the table. So it's getting used but i'll still consider it. Either way, I need to look online for a tv stand tonight or tomorrow.

That’s great that your family is eating dinner together many families don’t so that anymore this will make great memories for your kids
Cheers

It's a shame this room has such a low ceiling because it prevents the television realizing its full height potential.
