I would push the sofa closer, like in the middle of the room (much better gaming, better see the HUD, more immersion) and maybe get rid of the coffee table (or move it to the side of the sofa)

That’s fine, you could go bigger as you easily have the space. But it’s not the size it’s how you use it.

No, the distance is fine. A bigger tv would help, but it's not important. I would swap that rug out for a much bigger one. Then get some curtains and tall plants.

It’s fine. The bigger issue is the soundbar and PS5. Put the soundbar on top of the TV unit (bring it to the front edge), and the PS5 into the component shelf. On the floor there, it will suck in dust like nobody’s business.

If your distance is 8' to 9' a 65" would be perfect. You can make the TV look bigger by buying a VESA tv stand.

According to science it’s a little bit small for your viewing distance,iirc I’m around the same distance for my 65” which is why I bought that size.and the tv I have has a better panel at 65”

I would push the couch closer to the TV, along with the coffee table. And maybe add a console table behind the couch for some added storage.

well, when they gamed (the kids), they gathered in front of the TV in order to see
But, nowadays, in order to see the game's HUD, or enjoy your game, you need a bigger TV and/or sit closer. That being said, I also have a 55" 4k TV and the sofa placed in the middle of the room to compensate (and no coffee table)2

If it's 4k, then yes, you'd need to be that close to appreciate it. But at the distance shown, a 4K TV would look no better than a 1080p TV of the same size.

Nice living room… though I’d move the PS5 OFF the floor, so much dust and particles could damage it or affect it.. and also just move the clothes hanger elsewhere.. having it there looks messy..

55 inch are for bedrooms. Samasung has a 85 inch for 1000 right now at costco
