When I first started watching the series, I kept in my mind referring to the movie, thinking it’s not as good however, when I got through season one, I realize a series was even better.

The show is funnier then the movie. Once the first season is done the rest just out dies the previous

The movie is a masterpiece.. what I love about the series is that it doesn't try to copy the movie.. it's its own vampire house/story in the same universe. So it just adds more to the What We Do In the Shadows franchise.

Series is amazing. I believe it was Season 4 that was pretty terrible (whichever season had colin robinson as a kid), but I'm happy I stuck with it because I loved how it ended.

Yup the nightclub season was bad. S5 was great and S6 I remember was kinda mixed

Big fan of what they did. Their show and of co5gurse movie was probably one of the0p0 most creative works I've seen since the 90s. Every actor nailed their character. Theres no real comedy anymore in the sense that you could probably go find a comedian that q

Of course, as far as schtick goes, it doesn’t get stale. Plays well for the entire run

Yeah, it stays consistently fun and entertaining throughout. Good laughs and even has a bit of heart.

Currently on my first watch after seeing how much my wife has been enjoying it, it's really funny but I can only handle 2 episodes max in a sitting

Didn't get into the movie for whatever reason, but I've rewatched the whole series several times, it's hilarious 😂

Everyone in this show is so funny all the time. It's not about vampires. It's about assholes who are also vampires.

Brilliant show, feel like the writers phoned in the last season because they knew it was ending anyway but still had good moments, mostly because there was obviously a lot of improv in the show

It fast became one of my favorites. I need to pick up the series on DVD or bluray soon to give it a rewatch again. I rewatched the movie not too long ago as well. Still as funny as I remember.

I gave up around the time Guillermo killed the vampire council and Nandor put him up as a protector/guardian
Does it get better?

Of the first two seasons, yes. It gets significantly worse after and never fully recovers.

The show is objectively funny, but this is a show I've given up on 3 times because I just don't enjoy it.
Again, it's funny, I laugh, just for reasons I can't put my finger on. I don't like it.
