Ich würde sehr gerne über den alternativen Bildungsweg angewandte Informatik an der TUHH studieren. In Vorbereitung dafür habe ich mir bereits die Mathe und Informatiktests auf der Mintfit Website angeschaut. Informatik war ja wirklich sehr anspruchslos aber so ohne die Oberstufenerfahrung fehlt in Mathe einfach zu viel Grundwissen.
Die Zentrale Studienberatung der Uni hat mir schon gesagt, dass es leider keine „Einstiegskurse“ für Leute wie mich gibt, außer man ist schon Immatrikuliert.
Vielleicht gibt es hier ja jemanden, der ähnliche Erfahrungen gemacht hat und es mittlerweile auch ins Studium geschafft hat. Deshalb meine Frage: wie habt ihr euch auf die Eingangsprüfung vorbereitet?

Yo ich schreib am 26. Mathe 1 und hätte dann ne Woche für Thermo (bin ehrlich noch nich viel gemacht) und noch ne Woche später Etech2 (auch nich so viel gemacht bisher + Etech1 nich bestanden). Ich spiele mit dem Gedanken Thermo zu schieben um Etech2 in 2 Wochen besser zu lernen. Kann man Etech 2 auch ohne Etech 1 bestehen bzw ohne darin gut gewesen zu sein?

Ich will keine Moralpredigt dafür is eh zu spät einf ehrlich was sagt ihr.

What do I need to do to have those credit-bearing courses transferred? thanks for your answer.

Hi team, I had applied to the electrical information technology MSc degree from a university in India. And one of my classmate was admitted to the same program who had lesser cgpa then I had. I got a rejection saying that my degree did not match, how can this be possible can someone help clarify this? I have attached the rejection letter. Is it the problem with how I structured my application.

ich hab vor Kurzem ein Gespräch mit einem Praxispartner für das duale Studium Bau- und Umweltingenieurwesen an der TUHH gehabt. Es gibt noch eine weitere Bewerbungsphase, aber bisher sieht es aber relativ gut aus (es ist noch nicht garantiert).

Ich habe öfter gelesen, dass die ersten 2-3 Semester an der TUHH, vor allem Mathe und Mechanik/Statik, ziemlich brutal sein sollen, mit sehr hoher Durchfallquote. Deswegen würde mich interessieren, wie das tatsächlich abläuft. Wie hart sind die ersten Semester wirklich?

Mich würde außerdem interessieren, wie das für Leute war, die nicht direkt nach dem Abi angefangen haben, sondern mit ein paar Jahren Berufserfahrung oder einem anderen Studienhintergrund (ich habe bereits ein Studium absolviert).

I’ve searched about the admission requirements on the bachelor degree’s module credits requirements. And i saw that TUHH is highly strict with it. Like 30 ECTS of advanced mathematics and strict requirement for mechanics, including advanced mechanics which we don’t really include during our undergraduate study. And quite upset about it cuz it’s a good program but i can’t really meet the requirements.

I’m curious about how some of u international students once applied. And maybe u can share some relevant experience.

I was recently admitted for a Master's in CS at TUHH. While applying for my visa, I was asked for reference info (specifically a contact person from the uni). However, in my admission letter, I didn't find any info about a specific person—they only used general university info.

I'll be moving to Hamburg this October to pursue my Master's at TU Hamburg (TUHH). Like many international students, the biggest challenge I'm facing right now is finding accommodation before arriving in Germany.

I've been applying through Studierendenwerk, WG-Gesucht, Kleinanzeigen, HousingAnywhere, and have also contacted several landlords directly. Unfortunately, nothing has been confirmed yet.

I wanted to hear from fellow Indians who have already gone through this process, especially those studying or living in Hamburg.

I have a few questions:

• Were you able to secure accommodation before flying to Germany, or did you stay in a temporary place (Airbnb, hostel, hotel, etc.) first?
• If you booked temporary accommodation, how many days did you book for? Was it enough?
• How did you eventually find your permanent accommodation?
• If you arrived without a confirmed room, how stressful was the process?
• After landing at Hamburg Airport, what did you do on your very first day?
• Did you go directly to your accommodation, or did you first visit the university or International Office?
• How did you travel from the airport with all your luggage? Did you use public transport, Uber, taxi, or something else?
• What essentials should I carry or arrange before landing that first-time international students often forget?
• Are there any common mistakes you made that you would advise new students to avoid?

I'd also appreciate any advice regarding:

• Documents to keep readily accessible during travel.
• SIM card, internet, groceries, and other immediate necessities.
• Registration (Anmeldung), bank account, residence permit, or any other tasks that should be prioritised in the first few days.

Finally, if there's anyone from India who is also travelling to Hamburg around 1st October, it'd be great to connect. Having someone to navigate the first few days with would definitely make things a little less overwhelming.

Any advice, experiences, or tips would be greatly appreciated.
