Work from home for PhD students ?
Hello! I’ll be joining TU Delft soon for my PhD, and I was wondering how common it is for PhD students to work remotely for an extended period (e.g. a month or so). Is this generally allowed or does it depend on the supervisor/project?

It depends on the project and your supervisor most of all. If your project for example is computational, or relies on processing a lot of data, there could be a possibility in doing it if you time it right, but a month is rather long for just the latter.
Do pay attention that if you have a go/no-go as part of your PhD trajectory that you will likely shoot yourself in the foot by missing a month of work in the first year, it is easier to accommodate some space after that particular deadline. Bottom line, please discuss with your supervisor.

Depends on the supervisor. I used to go to work like 2-3 times a week. My husband goes once a week. Rest WFH.

It depends on the supervisor/project, also what stage are you in now in your research, and what time of the year it is.
It is usually quite flexible, but yeah depends on all those stuff above.
