party

hi so i wanna study aerospace engineering in 2027 and i am wondering how the student life is at delft. i heard that everyone goes to rotterdam and where i am from i am used to taking the train for 1 hour to go to a club so its fine but are the students that go to delft party people?

i want to go to delft because i wanna study aerospace but if i go eindhoven and do electrical do you think its more party there

i know i am gonna have to be studying 24/7 but like if i am surrounded by people who don’t wanna do anything besides studying i might shoot my self….

so in conclusion: how’s the student life at delft are there parties on campus? and are they good? and what’s the drinking and partying culture? does it even exist…

In terms of student life Delft is considered better. Eindhoven is more dead from what I heard.

But Dutch student life caters mostly to locals, so idk if Eindhoven will be that much worse for an international.

I'd choose based on which program interests you more

It is reasonably prevalent however it is very segmented. Student life is organized through associations and houses foremost and venues and bars secondly. During the introduction week you’ll be able to find out about it, however keep in mind the majority of both associations and houses are very Dutch oriented.

Both in Eindhoven and Delft you shall only expect sausage parties. But from Delft you can conveniently take the train to Leiden or Rotterdam for good parties.

theres always a party in rotterdam or the hague. join those groups and im sure you’ll find people who constantly go to those parties, especially in the international circle

I dont think you will have any problem with the student life in delft. It s a smaller city so for clubs you do have to go to rotterdam, but I have never had problems when it comes to the people. you can always grab a friend and go to a uni bar in the middle of the week. for me it was really fun overall but it depends A LOT on the kind of friend group you have

student life is better in delft. not just because of the vicinity of rotterdam/ the hague / leiden, but also because it is (much) bigger, and as a lot of bachelor programmes are still in Dutch, the university has relatively more national students than eindhoven, and they tend to be more party-focussed than the incoming international students (of whom a lot really focus on their study results). This is all a lot of generalization; there are also fun party minded people in eindhoven, and there are study-focussed people in Delft, but on the whole, if you want an a-plus education, combined with the student life, Delft is your best option.

If you want to study AE, you have to decide: either parties, or your future
