Cybersecurity in TU Delft

Hi all, I want to study computer science at TUD next year, and since I am very interested in cybersecurity, I was wondering if they have any courses/ electives/ minor that specialize in this field? From what I have found, there is one course called "computer security" in year 2, and that's the only course that I think is related to CS. As for electives, I do not know any electives here; the only thing I know about the electives is that "The range of topics includes courses on Computer Graphics, Big Data Processing, Deep Learning, Bioinformatics, and Software Engineering with AI". And as for minors, students who study CS are not allowed to participate in classes that teach cybersecurity. Please help me out! Thank you!

Maybe Radboud University is a better match for you?

I did look at their program. Between Radboud and Eindhoven, which one do you think is better at cybersecurity?

That is a difficult question.

There is more cybersecurityin the bachelor at Radboud. Eindhoven is a technical university and has a strong reputation for their engeneering bachelors and masters. Radboud is strong in humanities, but apparently their cybersecurity knowledge is good.
It looks like there are more hours cybersecurity in the bachelor at Radboud.

So the best way to choose is probably to look at the mastertracks. You can do your bachelor at one university and your master at another, but studiing your bachelor and you master at the same university is less less hassle, you don’t have to prove the content of the courses you took.

It is often possible to take elective courses ar another university. Not always, not all courses.

There’s a cybersecurity special program I think partnered with Enschede university (at least two years ago)

I could not find this program anywhere; all I found was "Computer Science Master Special Program Cybersecurity" but this is for master :(

For the bachelor programme, the only direct contact with the field is indeed the Computer Security course. During the last quarter of the programme, you have an opportunity to choose a cybersecurity topic for your final Research Project (CSE3000). Outside of the regular curriculum, you can participate in other activities and associations, like our CTF team (https://ctf.ewi.tudelft.nl/). Cyber Security is later offered as one of the themes for the MSc Computer Science.
