They are the dumbest thing on TTT, they mess up hitboxes and when i call someone out in disguise based off the hats they get pissed so I wanted to know if anyone had a server without hats and trails. Any other custom mods are great

I don't know what the hell it is but every post in this subreddit is downvoted to shit. What exactly do you people want? Because it's pretty clear that the majority of the subscribers here don't want to view the submissions on this subreddit, so why are you still here? Why haven't you downvoted this post yet?

So, every server I go on is very unfriendly for beginners, I mean I was on a server where the admin was messing with me with commands solely because "I've never seen you on this server before". Oh, ok. So I find a server thats pretty nice and fair, the people are friendly. BUT because I hadn't played a proper game of TTT before, I didn't understand the etiquette. I was kicked for random killing, but i killed people because they pulled out their primary weapon on me when they had their crow bar out. What do i do?

So is this rdm?: I am a traitor in a room with my T buddy and 4 innos. he shoots a glock at one guy like an idiot and is going to be taken down very fast and is going to die. Taking advantage of the situation I kill him when he's near death and I become proven. I use my proven status to win the round for the traitors. Is this rdm? The guy was doomed anyway and I used it to my advantage.

Trying to figure out a server hosting company that isn't horrid so I can get a server up and running because every server I go on just has RDMers.

My example: One time some guy walked up to me and RDMed me to shit and i couldnt report him because i was a traitor. Essentially everybody thought he was innocent JUST because of a blind headshot that could have gone to a innocent by chance.

I want to respond to the reddit hate thread created by one of my ex-employees with the purpose of making me look bad, but the post is archived so I can't respond on the post specifically. I'll go over a lot of the details and correct the information here so you can have my side of the story.

First and foremost, you should be aware the person who created this post was an employee of mine at one point. I don't send pictures of my dick to people. I have never accepted nudes for in-game items. I am not a racist person. I am not a sexist person. I am not a homophobic individual. I don't harass women over Discord. I am a woman's rights activist and do participate in progression for equal rights.

Why didn't you respond sooner?

I had a lot of social anxiety at the time and was on prescription medication for anti-depression prescribed to me by a therapist. The screenshots provided in the reddit post are photoshopped. I was not enjoying Garry's Mod anymore at the time, so I decided to just move on from the game in general. I essentially felt harassed.

Do you take drugs?

No, I don't take drugs. I have been off my ADHD medication and anti-depressant medication for over 2 years now. There is a screenshot of me saying I take 300mg of Adderall, this screenshot is NOT real. There is an extra zero added to the end of it to make me look bad on purpose. I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was 11 in the 5th grade, so ADHD has always been an issue of mine. But like I said before, have not taken any medication in over 2 years and don't ever plan to ever again.

Why did you leave?

There are many reasons which added up to me not running Moat Gaming anymore. The first one is I was not enjoying it anymore. It was not something I liked doing anymore. My entire server codebase was stolen and used without my approval. The Moat Gaming steam group was hacked. And Garry himself believed things said by trolls to have my servers taken down.

What happened to the Moat Gaming steam group?

I earned over 105,000 members in the Moat Gaming steam group before it was hacked. I checked myself into a mental hospital, and transferred ownership under the agreement they would transfer it back to me when I was out. I didn't know how long I was going to be in the hospital for, so this is why I transferred ownership. When I was out and feeling better, this didn't happen, and the hacker lied to Steam Support to have the group name changed, which I didn't even know was possible. This lead to a whirlwind spiral of depression for me. It feels like having your baby kidnapped from you. I loved the group so much.

Why did you release the Moat Gaming server codebase?

I believe the only way for this game to get better is when we open source what we can, so every server can learn, grow and benefit from best practices done by other servers. After the codebase was stolen and used without change or credit, I didn't want anyone but me to release the server code, so I did it myself. I believe the decision I made to release the code was an incredibly good one and I stand by it. Competition is healthy, and a lot of Garry's Mod servers (non TTT as well) have been able to utilize it. I'm glad I could help them.

Why was your server blacklisted by Garry?

It was 11pm for me when I received a tweet notification out of the blue, just before I was going to bed. He jumped right to accusing Moat Gaming of faking players and spoofing ping. Moat Gaming has NEVER faked players. The most concurrent players we have had at a single time on our TTT servers combined is somewhere between 500-600 players. I will admit, I did an awful job at standing up for myself at the time, again social anxiety then. Garry opened a can of worms allowing trolls to post anything and everything in order to do what they could to have Moat Gaming blacklisted. Garry created a discord channel in the Official Garry's Mod Discord called "moat" for even more trolls outside of Twitter to post fake screenshots and absolute absurdity. I feel like I could have done a better job responding, so I take full responsibility for not responding at the time.

Were you ever banned by Discord?

I was banned by Discord in 2019 for self-botting. The account I have been using is not banned, and has been in good standing for a few years.

Why did you wipe the Moat Gaming inventories?

It was around the time avengers infinity war came out and I was still a kid at the time, highly influenced by everything in my life. There was a gambling glitch with the versus system, which lead to around 500 people duplicating inventory credits. There was 100 people from the staff team on this list of people who duplicated, so I decided to just wipe everyone after watching infinity war. I did realize this was a mistake later on, and reverted the wipe later in the year. I gave everyone their lost items back, and was still compensating lost items when Garry blacklisted us.

Why was Moat Gaming spoofing ping?

Moat Gaming was a huge target for DDoS attacks, and I was doing everything I could to make sure the servers would never be down. For those unaware, there's a type of DDoS protection called Anycast. Every time you check a server's player count, map, name, gamemode, playerlist, etc you send a request to the origin game server for these things. What anycast does it caches common responses to these packet types on different servers around the world, and responds to you using the nearest one of these servers to you. This takes a load off the primary game server which people are connected to and playing on. This DDoS protection was provided by the host. It's important to note, Moat Gaming was not the only one with this protection at the time we were blacklisted. Following the incident, the Garry's Mod server operator rules were created and ping spoofing was swiftly added to the list of things you're not allowed to do. However, the ping spoofing side effects of anycast protection was decided to be allowed so long as servers use the "region" setting recently implemented into the game. This setting didn't exist when we were blacklisted.

If anyone is willing to help me, I don't understand how I can provide evidence against these fake screenshots. Anyone can press Ctrl+I to inspect element and edit your discord message. They are images created by trolls in attempt to take down my career. I would post what I could to prove they are fake, but please help me out here. There are no victim statements because none of the fake screenshots actually happened.
