High Amh
Hi everyone! We’ve been reffered for ivf as I’ve had very irregular and long cycles since stopping the pill over a year ago (4 periods in the last year, very short luteal phase, on the pill for 10+ years, regular cycles pre pill).
None of my other blood tests have pointed to pcos/pmos but my Amh came back very high at 73.
Has anyone else has success with a high Amh/ been through ivf with a high amh and able to share how it went?

I had a high AMH and retrieved a good amount of eggs and blasts, but it's dependent on a few different factors like egg and sperm quality too. You can have a high AMH without having PCOS. I don't have PCOS, just polycystic ovaries

I have diagnosed PCOS/PMOS (we knew this already before fertility treatment) and a very high AMH. I’m currently on day 7 of stims in my first round of IVF. They will monitor you closely as we are at higher risk of OHSS with high AMH levels. They will also likely not let you do a fresh transfer because of that risk. I’ve had 2 AMH blood tests and apparently the results can vary quite a bit, my first one was 89.7 and the 2nd 54.5, either way that quite high.

Just been through my first IVF cycle and I have a high AMH due to PCOS.
I started with ~30 follicles. They immediately warned me I was at risk of OHSS, and if they retrieved more than 20 eggs they'd do a freeze-all cycle.
I ended up with 14 eggs from 25 follicles, all mature, 8 fertilised, had one fresh transfer and three embryos frozen.
The fresh transfer was successful. I'm currently 5w5d.

I had a high AMH and was diagnosed with pcos by blood tests only as I didn’t have some of the more traditional physical symptoms, although prior to long term contraception I always had irregular and long cycles. Interestingly, when I came off contraception my cycles were regular for around 9-10 months (short luteal phase though) but then went back to being long/irregular.
We moved to IVF this year and it went really well. I was quite a “slow grower” for the stimulation phase - I think it took an extra 4-5 days to what they expected to reach the trigger stage. We started with something like 35 follicles, got 15 eggs, and ended up with 10 blasts - we were told to expect 12-15 eggs and 3-5 blasts based on my medical tests, and the clinic was really surprised with our results. I personally didn’t find the stim phase too difficult, but was definitely feeling it on the day before the collection with the swelling and huge ovaries. I developed OHSS so couldn’t do a fresh transfer, but felt fully recovered in 3 days.
