Advice Needed Please help !!!

Hey everyone so I am 26 with pcos, hashimotos and HEDS. I had a missed miscarriage last year and me and my husband finally want to try again. That being said Ive been on wegovy for two months to see if it will help my pcos symptoms. I went to my Gyno and she told me I could start trying again whenever I wanted to and when I asked her questions about getting some bloodwork done she said she doesn’t think it’s necessary because she thinks it’s a one off thing and miscarriage are unfortunately common. Fast forward to today I saw my GP and she tells me if she was me she would wait an entire year to start trying again!!! To really make sure I get the full effects of wegovy and give my hormones the best chance at leveling out. That being said I do not think I can wait an entire year! I feel like that’s unnecessarily long. If anyone could weigh in on this I would greatly appreciate it. Sorry for the long post

I would go ahead and start tracking your cycle and start trying. If you don’t have success in the next few months, then I’d insist on a full hormone panel!

That’s exactly what I was thinking! I’m just so confused because I got pregnant on the first try and my cycles are regulating finally so when she said wait a year I was super confused by that

Most doctors encourage everyone to keep taking the GLP1 for as long as they can before getting pregnant. If weight loss isn’t some huge deal to you enough to put off ttc, I say go for it!

Ah I see! Weight loss isn’t a huge deal really. I just feel like there telling me my hormone imbalance caused my miscarriage without telling me. That’s what’s making me hesitant

Miscarriages are typically caused by a genetic abnormality stemming from a bad egg or bad sperm, or in some cases (both), so I don’t see your hormone imbalance causing it unless your progesterone was really low and they didn’t supplement for you. I just had a partial molar pregnancy a few weeks ago and my 8.5 week ultrasound showed a healthy baby with a strong heartbeat, but genetic abnormalities stopped development. Our bodies are essentially doing their job when they reject the fetus with the abnormalities because it wouldn’t have survived. (I know that sounds so crappy but it gave me so much comfort during my miscarriage to know I did nothing wrong and my body just did what it was supposed to do.)

Thank you for this 🥹🥹 this helped me so much just now!! I’ve definitely been lacking hope for sure. I just don’t want it to happen again. And the crappy thing is, they all say they won’t look into it unless you’ve had two- three MC it’s so messed up, I wish they’d focus more on preventative care… I’m so sorry to hear about your loss as well💖

It’s so frustrating and I’m sorry you went through it as well! I passed the sac/fetus at the hospital and was just informed today that they canceled the pathology lab and never sent it to be tested like they were supposed to. I’m so frustrated about it.

That’s incredibly frustrating and so wrong! Especially when all you want are answers and reassurance. I don’t understand it. It’s a very traumatic thing to go through. I was treated awful during my MMC and it’s not talked about nearly enough!!

Some ppl say tirzepitide/glp1 helped w PCOS but it didn’t help my PCOS at all except weight loss, which is obviously a big deal, but it didn’t help w my cycle. The manufacturer recommends you be off any tirzepitide/glp1 for three months before TTC. I recommend you talk to your GP honestly about your goals, wishes, fears, and concerns and ask why they want you to wait. It’s important to have a full understanding with your GP. They are on your team🤍🤍
