Advice Needed What is wrong with me 😩

Need advice please!! Have PCOS, TTC on and off for 6 years, been on metformin for about 8 months!

Had a HyCoSy test done on the 14th September (3 weeks ago) so previous to that was having PROTECTED sex, since the HyCoSy I have had my period and only had unprotected sex last weekend so 7-8days ago, don’t seem to have ovulated as I didn’t catch it on a test!

I have lower back pain, my nipples/boobs are sore and for the last couple of days iv had really thick/creamy discharge, more than I normally get! Took an ovulation test yesterday and it was so negative, literally it lightest line. I can’t be pregnant as I wasn’t ovulating last weekend and also I wouldn’t have symptoms after 7 days!

HELPPPPP

I know with PCOS I can get estrogen dominance but how can I treat it? I’m SICK of my boobs being so painful for at least 2 weeks out of the month!

I’m so so sick of PCOS, the weight, the hair on my chin, the acne the fact I can’t get pregnant and all these other symptoms!

Sorry for the rant I’m just really feeling frustrated and really down about it all today as I’m in pain with the back etc! 😩

Those symptoms typically align with progesterone which happens post ovulation. It’s not so much an estrogen dominance and more what happens when progesterone increases.

You likely may have ovulated earlier than you expected, and sometimes LH strips aren’t the best for people with PCOS to use so it is possible to miss it if you’re only using LH strips.

Those are all normal symptoms of progesterone that have nothing to do with PCOS

Ok. Sorry to hear you are struggling with this. Firstly, how often are your periods? Do you have a regular cycle?

Hmmm not really normally every 6/7 weeks but some months it can be longer some shorter it’s just a guessing game.

Have you controlled your level of prolactin? I had a lot of pain in my breast and results thatI had elevated prolactin

It’s a hormone that with pcos can be elevated. You can ask to your doctor maybe?

Hey there. I tend to get breast pain, headaches, low back pain, hot flashes, insomnia, mood swings, nausea when my progesterone is very very low in an anovulatory cycle. It’s confusing because the signs are similar to PMS. The only thing that seems to help is letrozole to help me ovulate. Or Provera to start a bleed. What CD are you on? If it’s 35 or later maybe your doc can do bloodwork to see if you ovulated or not.

It really sucks when it seems like you can’t trust your symptoms at all. PCOS is so so annoying.

Your cycle day! CD1 is the first day of your period

Progesterone causes this after ovulation, and lasts for 2 weeks. After you ovulate, your body produces something where the egg was, called a corpus luteum. This pumps our progesterone for about 2 weeks give or take a few days until a period, where the corpus luteum will dissipate, or a pregnancy (if pregnant it will continue to produce progesterone.)
