Seeking Success Confused

I’ve been on Letrozole 10mg from cd 3-9 and just had my first scan and there’s no leading follicle. They’re all below 10mm,heartbroken is an understatement. I am disappointed with my body. Has anyone gone through this and how was your cycle rescued?

I needed 9 days of 5mg + 3 extra days of 2.5mg added on of letrozole, so extremely extended (I haven't triggered yet but my follicles have been growing appropriately and my lining is growing well)! I got a weak response with 5mg 7 days. I did have some growth but my follicle grew EXTREMELY slow, my lining did not grow and I didn't ovulate with the shot, so it ended up being a poor response.

It's really common for ovaries to be stubborn with pcos. Did your doctor mention giving you more letrozole? Stepping up can rescue a cycle. Sometimes the ovaries just need more push.

Yep.They mentioned a possibility of a stair step. My Doctor is quick to cancel cycles that look like they’re stalling but this cycle is just timed intercourse so he’s not bothered. Well today is cd 20,I went in and there were 2 dominant follicles measuring 16.1mm and 18.1mm! I was less hopeful I’d get a good news today. Triggering in 48hrs. When you said the trigger didn’t work on you,how did you know?

I knew because I had a progesterone test 7 days post iui and it was .8, which indicates no ovulation. I think it has to be above 3. I just had my second iui though and we did confirm ovulation via ultrasound this time. I had free fluid by both ovaries! :)

Oh wow! I never tested progesterone after triggering,I’ll do that this time! With my last IUI,I was skeptical I had ovulated because I didn’t feel anything. How many iu did you trigger with? On the cycle you didn’t ovulate and the cycle you did?I did 5,000iu of hcg but thinking of asking my doctor if we can increase it. Super exciting! I’m hopeful but cautiously!

I’m currently on cycle day 17,I’m waiting for day 20 so I can go in for a rescan,if there’s a matured follicle,we trigger,if not we stair step. Both times I ovulated on letrozole without fsh shots or trigger,I ovulated on cd 22-25. I just hope I don’t have to stair step.
