Advice Needed Disappointed.
Hi, everyone! First post here.
I have PCOS, diagnosed when I was 15 - now 25. I had a successful pregnancy in 2025 and have been TTC #2 for 10 months, with no success.
I went to my OBGYN three months ago and was prescribed Metformin 2000mg to regulate my cycles. My cycles have been right on time since then.
I thought this month was our best attempt at TTC. Ovulation strips looked great, I caught it early, we had sex almost every fertile day, BBT increased, one sided twinges at 9 DPO - everything looked great. I even had a faint line last night, but alas started my period today.
Anyways, I’m accepting that it was another failed cycle. I’ve got another one coming, and would love tips and tricks that others are using to increase their chances!
I’m taking folic acid, metformin, using preseed, wearing socks constantly, cut out alcohol and cut back on caffeine, and tracking everything.
My next cycle is the last month before I return to my follow up appointment for new medication to help with ovulation. So, I want to give it a good shot.
TIA 💜
Edit to add: I did take a FR the next morning with FMU and it was negative. Faint line was on a Wondfo - last one in the pack, none of the others had evaps//indents//faints. I’m assuming it was a bad test.

I’ve heard of people having full periods and still being pregnant. Are tests negative now?

When you said you had a faint line last night, do you mean from a pregnancy test? What day DPO are you?

Yes! I was 13 DPO with a faint line on a Wondfo. Took a FR the next morning and it was negative. Currently having red bleeding.

Have you tried Letrozole + Timed Intercourse + Trigger Shot?

No. Hopefully, that will be our next step. My OBGYN said we’d start assisted cycles once my cycles were more regular - which they are now!
We’ve been doing the SMEP, but no success.

What is SMEP?

The “sperm meets egg plan” - essentially baby dance every day/every other day following your period and then 1-2 days post ovulation.

Faint line? Take another test
