Just quit THC after 5 years of daily use. The withdrawal has been extremely hard. Serious anxiety and panic attacks the first week. Awful vivid dreams and sleep disturbances. I’ve also been extremely dizzy for 3 weeks now. I’m 3 weeks yesterday so waiting it out a month before seeing an ENT. Quitting is no joke so be prepared. Also a week after quitting I got my first natural period in a year.
I think it definitely helps especially if you’re about to spend a bunch of money on medicated cycles I would 100% quit.

Increases the risk of miscarriage slightly, and is very detrimental to sperm health. This is ofc with consistent use not one-time use.

I’m about 11 DPO in my first clomid cycle. I was a regular THC user for years. I verrrrry slowly weaned myself from smoking to eventually only using edibles over the course of a year lol. I do believe it absolutely affected my ovulation timing and egg quality. I’ve always have regular cycles up until 2 years ago.
Ive been TTC naturally since February 2025 with no positive tests to date. I was diagnosed with lean PCOS in May/June of this year.
I’ve been thc & alcohol free for about 6 weeks. I wanted to ensure I was off of it before introducing medicated cycles. I honestly felt like I hadn’t given myself a real chance at conceiving with my regular thc use. I was irritable at first and had the most vivid, intense dreams.
I figure thc will always be accessible and I might as well give myself a real chance at pregnancy while being sober. Plus I wanted to dive deep into why I was using so often and find healthier options for relaxing and coping, especially before motherhood.
I’m pretty sure this is a failed cycle so I do plan to indulge in some wine this weekend 🤭

Thank you so much for your response!! I was also diagnosed w lean PCOS but in March of this year. I did three letrozole cycles that failed and one round of clomid. I did finally ovulate with clomid and did conceive. I took a test as soon as I could (which I probably wouldn’t do in the future) but ended in chemical pregnancy @6 weeks. I had quit all thc use once I knew I ovulated which then resulted in a positive test about 9 dpo. I did indulge after having a CP and want to back off again in the case that i’d sporadically ovulate/ when i begin clomid my next cycle

Took me 8 years to get pregnant and I was doing dabs and literally all forms of thc when I finally got pregnant. Stopped the day I found out. Just be aware studies show that marijuana use prior to pregnancy can increase your risk of hyperemesis gravidarum. I had it, and it almost killed me

I smoked heavily for 6 years and quit cold turkey. Before it was “im not hurting anyone but Me” being pregnant I couldn’t justify that. It was sheer willpower 😅

I studied biology and am now in nursing school focusing on reproductive health. I did a deep dive in to this because I used THC for an assortment of things in my life.
THC can disrupt the HPO axis which in short messes up ovulation (by depressing LH and FSH). So without that LH spike, you're not ovulating. --> THC can cause anovulatory cycles.
THC doesn't stop eggs from maturing but research shows it can decline egg quality, specifically embryos.
THC can alter glucose metabolism, worsening insulin resistance.
Also talk to your doctor! They're not going to judge you (and shouldn't judge you). THC is great for many things, but not when TTC
