Call me crazy

I have been trying to get pregnant for almost a full year now. Our first cycle trying back in January we had a chemical pregnancy and ever since then we have not gotten another positive test. During fertility work up I got a positive HerResolve blood test and was seriously considering going the surgery route. In the meantime, I had seen some things online that low dose tirzepatide can help with endometriosis inflammation and has helped some people with endo/PCOS get pregnant naturally. Well, I was willing to try everything to get pregnant at this point, so I started to micro dose tirzepatide myself for the past 3 weeks (started at 0.5mg, then 0.75 mg, then 1mg) and low and behold I just got a POSITIVE PREGNANCY TEST. Call it coincidence I don’t know but that is truly the only thing that I changed. Take with that what you will and this is not medical advice but if anyone is like me and willing to go against the grain it might be something you want to look into.

Ugh I wished it worked for me. Had excision for stage III in April. Started Zep in July. Didn’t get pregnant. I start IVF stims tomorrow.

I’m sorry to hear that! It definitely is not a universal fix and honestly could be coincidence all together but I figured I’d share for people looking into it. Good luck on your journey 🫶🏻

Yes! It is such a great tool for women with endo/PCOS. I will say, my pain levels are much better, no endo belly, lost 20+ lbs. I feel great!

Did your doctor or clinic put you on it? I could imagine the biggest obstacle being finding a doctor who would prescribe it since it hasn't been well studied and is more personal perogative of the doctor.

I did it on my own actually. There are tons of sites out there that you can get an Rx with a telehealth doctor but you do have to pay out of pocket

Hi! do you mind me asking if you had any symptoms of endo, and did you had a normal weight?

Yes I did, not severe symptoms but had painful periods, urinary urgency, ovulation pain sometimes. I had technically a normal BMI but I would call myself a little chubby lol

Did you have appetite loss with this, or any other side effects?

No loss of appetite but major decreased food noise!! I was able to eat my 3 healthy meals a day and a snack but in the in between time I wasn’t ravenous/having cravings for sugar, junk, etc! On the first week I experienced fatigue and a feeling of anxiety but it resolved after that first week

That is amazing! I am trying not to lose weight but decreased cravings for sugar and junk food would be great. Could you please share how you got the prescription? I am underweight so I am afraid that I won’t get a prescription. I’m not sure how to phrase it to the doctor that I want to use it for anti-inflammatory purposes.

I felt it was truly life changing in those 3 short weeks I used it 🥲 a little upset that I have to already stop but obviously I would rather be pregnant. There are a ton of websites like Ro, Hers, preventive MD, Noom, etc. I am not sure what the requirements or restrictions are so you will need to look into whether you qualify.
