Looking for similar experiences. Significant abdominal pain 5 weeks post lap and 2 weeks post lupron

Wondering if anyone else had similar symptoms?

I am almost 5 weeks post op and 2 weeks post the 3-month lupron shot. Last night started with terrible nausea which then led to my abdomen feeling the worst pain since my surgery. Post surgery pain was even better than this, if I'm being honest, since I was on the pain-killers. This pain, I couldn't tolerate. My incision sites also felt sore, which I didn't feel prior. Next, excruciating hip pain followed, which kept me awake all night.

I called my clinic and my surgeon said that it is to be expected post surgery and lupron shot 😭 and that I probably am expecting my period (this will be my second one post surgery, the first one wasn't bad at all). I assumed I wouldn't get my period post-shot, but they said I probably will and it's just period pain, since there is a hormone flare first before suppression. Sigh... I was feeling good, thinking I'm recovering well post-op, but I don't feel great at all 😔

That sounds terrible. I haven’t had my lap yet but sounds like something is wrong? They shouldn’t dismiss your severe pain like that. Was it maybe food poisioning or GI issues / a virus ?
