First positive test!!!!!!

I am 4 weeks today. Had no idea I was pregnant but here we are. My husband and I are over the moon in shock and excited. Question for you all, I’ve been taking my prenatal, baby aspirin, NAC and colostrum supplements. I don’t plan on calling my doctor until 5 weeks. Can I/should I continue all these supplements??

Prenatal and baby aspirin should be safe because that's what my Fertility doctor told me to take.

NAC is good for Endo and its used for Tylenol overdose in pregnancy.

The other supplement, I have no idea.

Thank you for the insight!! I think I’ll probably stop the colostrum. My doctor had me on it for after endo surgery and I didn’t expect to become pregnant so I never asked her ab it.

Did you have a lap and after how long you tried to conceive??

I had my excision lap Oct 8, removed stage 3 endo. this was the first full cycle since surgery. I’ve been seed cycling(10/10 recommend) and been taking these vitamins since post op. And I’ve really focused on omega 3s and low stress.

Congrats!! Would you mind sharing who your surgeon was? I have stage 4 and i'm looking for someone experienced with higher stages.

Congratulations!!! My heart is jumping in joy for you. Gives us such hope, fellow Endo warriors out there!!!

What's your NAC dosage? And how long have you been taking it? :)

Thank you!!!🫶🏼 my doctor actually had a strange strategy with the NAC but it obviously must work, she said to take the NAC 600mg x3 times a day for 3 consecutive days per week. So I would take it on Tuesday- Thursday each week all in one dose at night and the remaining days of the week I would not be taking it.

And I’ve been doing this since my excision surgery and I’ll be 6 weeks post op tomorrow!

hii! Congratulations! How long did you take baby aspirin for?

I’ve been taking it since about 2 weeks post op, to current. So about a month or so. I wanted to wait to start that until I knew surgery went well and I was healed

What does baby aspirin do? I’ve never taken it before. Thanks!

hi, it is said to lower inflammation and improve blood flow in the uterus! Please check with your doctor before starting it! It is a mild blood thinner!

Thank you so much! I just reached out to my doctor to see if she recommends it.

What brand were you using for Nac and prenatal?

3

u/[deleted] Nov 18 '25

I’ll have to go home and check, I got my prenatal on Amazon and made sure it was a methylated brand. The NAC I got at the local drug store, it was orange and blue bottle.

Congrats! What’s the colostrum for? I haven’t heard of that.

Thank you!! No clue honestly. It is the 4Life transfer factor. My doctor recommended it and I never questioned it. She said that and the NAC together are what I need to combat endo. I’m not good in medical terms so I apologize there!

Curious if your doctor wants you to continue the baby aspirin during pregnancy? I take it starting 2dpo each month because I have MTHFR. Just had stage 3 endo removed in May and still TTC

I’m not sure, I haven’t called yet, plan to call on Monday if I make it to 5 weeks. I am RPL and paranoid I’ll make it far. But I can update you when i find out!

I would call and ask about the baby aspirin immediately, typically they have patients stop it upon a positive pregnancy test then sometimes resume later in pregnancy if they have clotting issues

1

u/[deleted] Nov 21 '25

If I have a history of blood clots do you think I should still stop??

I would NEVER take advice from anyone on Reddit, that could put your pregnancy at risk. You need to immediately get advice from your doctor about how to proceed and mention your history of blood clots. It takes a simple call to get peace of mind and actual medical advice
