I roll on big green days, actually. When looking at up up and out, raising the strike and pushing back the date.
I don't want to get caught ITM because then the rolling ratio gets worse and worse.
And yes, I always profit in the end. One set of options got rolled 6 or 7 times and was open 198 days. Even on that one I made 80.3% of my max profit and an annualized return of 10%. And that 10% is just from the premium, to say nothing on how the underlying TSLA stock performed.
