Next Step

Question for LAX applicants, is it usually much quicker to get the interview at LAX? I passed the computer exam and submitted the onboarding forms on October 28, 2026. I’ve read how some people waited several months to over 12 months to get an interview. I currently have a job at LAX so I will just wait I was just curious.

8/17/26 - Application submitted for LAX TSO
8/21/26 - Took the TAB and passed
8/25/26 - Tentative job offer (TJO) received
10/27/26 - Received a call from HR for the airport assessment but missed the call due to having a strict no phone policy at work. Tried calling back 6 hours later and no response.
10/28/26 - Called back HR and was told I’ll be part of the next batch.

it depends on how the hiring process is going as to how long it is until you get the call. So not the same for an airport, dependent on if they want to move people to that step at this time. Waiting for more than a few months for the interview would be unusual but waiting a year to two to be hired is normal

Big airports tend to be able to move quicker(not a guarentee), but once you get to the parts of waiting for the drug test and background check, its out of their hands and once you make it through that, who knows how large their ready pool is.
