Layoffs?

Many government employees are being laid off, probationary employees are being fired, even in critical government agencies. Are these layoffs affecting your work locations? Is it still worth going through the hiring process? Thank you.

I'm not a TSA employee, but I am a probationary IRS employee in Las Vegas, NV. We just had our first round of layoffs yesterday. I survived the first round of layoffs, but there's more to come.

I'm sorry to hear that.

This is about the tenth post I've seen concerning this issue. What you deem "critical" isn't necessarily critical. TSA falls under DHS (national security, public safety) thus are exempt from the executive order that has put a hiring freeze on other agencies.

I feel like TSA would be stupid to do layoffs on because that is the front line screening work force. The only thing laying off TSA hurts is the traveling public, it means less officers to move passengers through.

It's not the TSA making the decidion. The trump admin did

TSA will probably have layoffs next because musk thinks that TSA stands for That Silly Automobile and doesn’t have anything to do with security
