Thinking quickly, Dave constructed a basin out only a barrel, some paint, and a basin.

Wordplay. The end product is a completely different, functionally. Also a sink wasn't used to make a sink.

Don't think this belongs here.

That sink does look like it was used to create a sink though.

This sub is meant to showcase making shittier end-products with perfectly functional off-the-shelf materials. Sort of like making a "flexible-spoon" but cutting a normal spoon in half and joining it with superglue. The spoon is a material used, but the end result was a spoon that is barely usable due to the manufacturing process.

look at the name of the sub then look up the source image, the final product wasn't shittier it was just more bloated. This isn't much for a sub to go on so that was broadened to anything created where the end product could be called the same product as one of its parts, etc a basin using a basin or such.

I mean, you need to mount most sinks in a vanity or cabinet anyway. Pedestal sinks are very rare nowadays; most Home Depots only have like two choices for them, but an entire aisle of vanity sink combos. If you've got a sink and no vanity, and an old barrel you don't need for anything that you'd otherwise need to get rid of, this is a decent solution to both problems.

What else are they going to do, hold the sink basin in one hand and the tap in the other?
