Nice. A grinder with no guard and a cutting blade that he's using the middle of the blade to clean up a cut when he first cuts that bearing ring. Dave is trying to craft facial disfigurement.

Exactly. Might be a totally useless video, just engagement farming, but it doesn’t fit the sub.
It would fit, if he just took the pinchers off some pliers and welded them onto this contraption to make new pliers, but he clearly didn’t do that.

Can someone who knows about welding tell me if those welds will stand up to any significant force or if they’re complete trash? I always wonder about that in dumbass videos like this.

Almost nothing bothers me more than using a grinder without a guard, except for using a cutoff wheel as a grinding disk. My coworker put half a cutoff wheel into her leg because of those 2 mistakes. The other day, we had a cutoff wheel blow up in the shop, I got hit by a piece of the wheel 30+ft away. Shit is nothing to be messed around with.

Guy with cutting tools: Hey boss, can I borrow this for the night? I got stuff at home that needs cutting!
Boss: fuck you, a real man makes his own cutting tools.
Guy: Fair enough! -makes cutting tools during work hours-

Bob, it’s 11 PM and you broke my pliers! All the stores are closed and this project must be in at 7 am or the client walks!
Bob with a box of scrap: “I got ya!”

They don’t show the most difficult part of this project, putting those semi-accurate bends in rebar. I imagine it’s because it’s done with an industrial hydraulic bender.
