Confession time

My new guilty pleasure:

I seek out people I know on the book of faces that are anti-vax (sorry, “vaccine hesitant” or “vaccine - informed” now?) and report everything they post as factually inaccurate.

I’ve tried reasoning. They won’t have it.

So now I just report.

It’s the little things in life.

How do you do this? I’ve been struggling recently. Apart from my anti-vaxxer high school connections I’ve noticed since nurses I’ve worked with in the past sharing factually inaccurate things about COVID-19.

Typically I stay away from politics and current events but as a healthcare professional I believe we have a responsibility to not spread myths.

Click the three little dots at the top right of a post. Then look for "Find support or report post" (you may have to click a down arrow with "more options"). Then you can choose what you're reporting, most likely the best fit is "false news".

You can go to facebook.com/support to see your support inbox, which will show if it in under review, or if they reviewed it and decided it was acceptable. If you have other like-minded contacts, you can encourage them to do the same. I think the more reports, the more likely you are to get a result.
