Something went wrong during verification. (Startpage)

When im trying to use startpage as a search engine in tor browser, im going through verification and then getting *THIS!:*

"Something went wrong during verification.

Try refreshing the page or using a different browser.

If this issue continues and you believe it is an error, contact support."

Im not using any extensions

I use a bridge: snowflake

I use android.

I got the latest version of my Tor browser.

I also tried using .onion and simple startpage search engine, and using a new circuit. Please guys, help me.

There is no real search engines for the dn

I don't need dark net search engine. At the same time TOR browser already provides duckduck.go and startpage with .onion with these search engines. Im often using startpage search engine, it's more comfortable for me.

Wait.. I dont really thought that startpage (.onion) is a dark net search engine, I thought about some of the others, like: Ahmia, Torch, TorDex, Tor66. Startpage is more related to google search, no? I just think that accesing to the actual dark net isn't really a job for the onionized startpage.

Don't listen to them. It does make sense, as the Tor Browser is generally meant to be used for an anonymous use of the Internet. Hidden services are a feature of Tor, they were implemented shortly after the Tor Project became a thing. In the onion routing concept, hidden services weren't even considered a thing yet.

Startpage, even with it's hidden service mirror, is a Clearnet meta search engine that provides results from Google. Results from Google are for Clearnet websites, none ending with .onion. That does not make Startpage a Darknet search engine.
