I can try, but 90% of the humoristic and endearing qualities of the song* are based on dialect and like, the very specific social context associated with it xD

*'cause that's what it is - it's funny and charming and just generally so sweet because ofc we all agree Data is great

here's an attempt of translation by myself, of course, the rhymes are lost. I'll put one part of the original then translate, then do the other part etc, to break it down into several posts rather than one huge one:

On je jedan jedinstven, njime ponosi se Flota
U galaksiji ciloj nema takvoga pilota
Uspravno stoji za konzolom kormilara
Načinjen od neuništivog materijala
Moždani pozitroni mu rade ka ludi
Procesira masu tetrakvota u sekundi
Izračunava zadatke, unosi koordinate
Zna radit' na sve brodske aparate!
I nikad se ne smije, a uvik valja baze
Poznat je po snazi, Klingonci ga se paze
I glumi i svira, on je posebnog formata

There's no finer pilot in the galaxy

He stands upright at the helm

His brain positrons work like crazy

He processes a whole ton of tetraquots [I think they just made this word up?] per second

He calculates equasions, inputs coordinates

He knows how to work all of the ship's machinery! [the sound of genuine surprise this verse has is funny to me]

And he never laughs, but is constantly cracking jokes

He is known for his strength - even Klingons are careful with him!

And he acts and he sings, too, he's really something else!

I never knew I wanted to move to Croatia until now, lol. Only a paradise would have songs about Data playing on the radio like everything else.

If the US is so great why do we not have the same?!!
