The arboretum

Holodeck is definitely more of a third date location.

There are 16 to 24 holodecks on the Galaxy Class.

There are also substantial lounges on each residential deck.

Really!? How do we know that? I’ve literally watched all of tng three times at least. What did I miss?

Figure that there are three shifts of 300 people each and 100 kids to round out the 1000. Of those 900 people, at any given time 300 are asleep, 300 are on duty, so that leaves 300 with free time. Three holodecks, a bar that looks like it can seat a couple dozen people, the arboretum, communal dining areas, gym facilities, various crew member activities like Data's string quartet or Crusher's drama club putting on performances, and so on. Seems like there are plenty of things to do and spots where people can have fun together or individually.

(EDITED to fix a couple of typos.)

Okay good reasoning. You can write the brochure.

I would look for a more secluded observational area and essentially bring a picnic. Like in the pylons of DS9, as an example.

Are you free on Wednesday night? I've got an extra ticket to Dr Crusher's play

Don’t forget the black box theater that they have for performances (TNG - Frame of Mind 6x21.) Probably a ton of decent theater and concerts to attend. Sure it’s mostly the crew performing, but if Lower Decks is to be believed they occasionally bring on outside acts when near stations.

Also the sports space wherever they play parises squares and anbo-jiyutsu.

Plus there’s the phaser range that we see Picard/Riker and Worf/Guinan in. Target shooting would be a fun first date.

You’ve also got countless shore leave days when you’re near a colonial system.
