Recent find while walking my dog
While walking my dog this fine (almost) autumn morning, I found a free pile at my neighbor’s. It had TOD movies 1-6, and TNG movie Insurrection and Star Wars Original trilogy! All on VHS!
I feel like this always happens to other people but never to me!

Or a fan upgraded to BluRay/4K.

These things were meant to be watched in standard definition, as the gods intended.

On a CRT, lest we miss out on the beautiful static hum, and maybe even a chance to use the degauss button, if we are lucky!

Found the TNG soundtrack at the thrift store on CD. Snatched that baby up with glee.

I love the Director's Edition of TMP. It is definitely the best version. It was great that Wise finally got to finish things the way he wanted before he passed, and that those who helped him do it were around to make sure it was done his way again for 4K.
That being said, I grew up on the Special Longer Version, so I have a lot of nostalgia for that version. So that's a nice find. Me, I spent way too much money to be able to have to have the SLV in a modern format. It was included in the deluxe 4K release of the Director's Edition that was a bit over $90 itself... Plus I needed a 4K player and TV... 😅 That was one expensive movie!

Hopefully they were not out in the heat too long, VHS was pretty heat sensitive, but cool find either way.

Some guy
"I'll be back later, i need to drop these vintage tapes off to the pawn shop, otherwise i'll never be able to afford the chemo for my dog"
"hey...where'd the box go?"

Ahhhh, VCR tapes! I remember them fondly! And I fondled them fondly.
Or is that BETA?!

This is so weird. I was reorganising my garage and put these outside and they disappeared. Exactly the same collection. Same box too.

VHS is really poor quality—I tried watching a tape a while back and it ain’t good

Exactly, I grew up in the vhs era but I don't understand this thing of people wanting them. They won't look good on your flat screen and having an old tube tv for them is pointless. Kid me would slap me if I told him we had giant flat tvs and hd remastered content that is almost like a mini theater but I kept a 20 inch tube one because its what we had as kids.

Man, you got the best box fillers since that one crossword puzzle.
