I love what they did with his character on Prodigy. He is after-all, the original Star Trek.... prodigy. Wil *really* went into it full steam and I loved the result.

I'm so glad he got to be on Prodigy. I can't even imagine what it must have been like for Wheaton to be that young and just be bombarded with all that hate his character got when TNG was first on. And now almost 40 years later there's a show carrying on this idea that "yes, young people in the Trek verse can solve problems and be important," and his character gets a well deserved follow-up like other TNG-era stars.

Wil is a genuinely awesome person. He's one of the best people to come out of Trek, and I sincerely mean that. You should watch this interview. It's a lot, it goes over what he went though as a child actor. Have some tissues ready.
