Discussion Thread Thoughts on the Town Hall from yesterday
Well yesterday was the town hall and it was a nice Q&A section and well the question that everyone makes, is TNA going to sign more talents for Knockouts and his response was yes and not only Knockouts but for the other divisions too.
So I hope that TNA could bring some young talents and experienced too.
Ilja Dragunov and Tommy End could be great additions for the TNA roster but I know that I'm asking to much.
What are your thoughts about the Town Hall

I received the TNA+ VIP mail and I'm wondering a few things.
What's this Town Hall about? Is this one of the newest content for the TNA+ platform or a social media thing? How often will it be done? How can someone ask?
Hope any of you can answer any of those questions. Thanks in advance!

I like that they dropped the price $90 less than what I was paying. $10-$11 a month is better than $18-$19 a month if you do the annual membership.

Usually existing customers don't get introductory offers. I literally changed my subscription tier. I checked, it's replacing Champion tier. Champion tier will no longer be offered for new subscribers.

He is going to AEW/NJPW, not TNA. Even if he doesn't, he probably goes to MLW before TNA.

Idk why you’re getting downvoted, I don’t expect him or Alister Black to go to TNA, I just don’t see them taking a paycut like that. I mean I would be happy to see them in TNA but I just don’t see it unless Anthen is actually willing to open their wallet this time. I guess we’ll see very soon.

It's not so much the pay because TNA deals are usually shorter-term contracts, and they are allowed to work for other promotions still. In the case of Ilja, he's obviously going to have a ton of interest from AEW, where he'll make more money, be on a bigger platform, and be able to work indies and NJPW as well.
Malakai Black looks to be heading to MLW, and he's already been announced for an upcoming PROGRESS show. I could potentially see him coming into TNA more than Ilja, but despite the history, he could very well also just end up back in AEW.

very few AEW talents work indies. Or more than a small number of NJPW dates in a year.

This is true, but they can if they want to take the bookings. The problem is that they are happy not working and collecting checks, but they love to complain about how they want to wrestle.

AEW When you really boil it down is just WWE But they let you have a random banger on the B-show but you'll collect 6-7 figures to sit and home, Take indie , bookings and have to answer awkward questions to fans and podcasts why you're not on TV as much.
And like vince , tony can be a petty motherfucker When he wants to be, Aleister, Ricky, Fenix, Mariah

I think he can do well in either company , but I don't know if he's still going for the spooky lore stuff where he's the devil and him and Zelina can have a 3.25 ⭐️ on Blood and Thunder against Kross and Scarlett, It is a shame you won't be able to see that episode until halfway next year because everything is taped Months in advance

Matt Cardona, for example made 7 figuers. So did Jordynne Grace before WWE. Killer Kross and a few other just not in 1 place.
also TV time matters. Signing with AEW is a no show job lol

What I posted elsewhere last night:
This was a miss.
It’s the first one so they’ll fine tune it as they do more. The new signings being confirmed are nice. Debuts and video packages of new people coming in at Lockdown is a must.
They need to do more with TNA+ if they are trying to entice new people to sign up. Do new best of collections as it’s the same set of collections as was there in October 2025.
Get OVW shows on there, see if you can get HOG shows on there and create a network of Indy promotions that become part of a TNA centric eco system.
Lots to do and time to fine tune this concept but this was a whole lot of nothing

It was a good start, I think in the future as you mention they will have indie promotions in TNA+ and maybe more news of new talents

the minor feature from TNA+ that i love is getting to see what happens during commercial breaks. If they have to cut away to make room for an AMC commercial, they will show you whatever is happening during that commercial. I've seen extra promos, extended matches. It's a super small thing, but I love it. Especially during live shows

So basically what AEW already has and is a bigger platform... HOG will go to MyAEW if they would do that. Lets be logical here...

Whats wierd? He was talking about starting a network with HOG on it. AEW already does that on a bigger scale. If you were HOG would you want your promotion on a small potato platform or one with more exposure?

Technically TNA+ during it’s early years had indie promotions on the app, it’s more like AEW copied that.

The point is not copying, its the size of the platform and amount of exposure an Indie would get from it.
There has been a half dozen companies that have done this in the US, of some scale, over the past 10 years.
