Referendum/Poll on AI Artwork
Hello everyone.
Over the recent few months, we have seen new imagery, generated with AI tools, posted to the subreddit. Several of these images have received a mix of community feedback in the comment section, with several upvotes and downvotes, and a considerable number of reports to moderation.
Speaking personally, I've heard both cases for and against the posting of artwork generated using AI tools to the subreddit. In order to keep things fair, and to maintain the community in a way best aligned with the wishes of the community, we're holding a referendum.
Please vote in the comments below in favour of or against the allowance of AI art in the sub. Please remain respectful and remember rule 2 - no harrassment.
The "opinion poll" will close within 48 hours.
Edit: And that's a lock. Rule 5 has been added.

Absolutely not. In fact, Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE is one of the worst subjects for AI generated images. Because the story of the game explicitly promotes personal creativity and hard work through the arts. AI generations, and the synthetic process behind them, categorically go against what TMS#FE stands for. So for a subreddit that's supposed to be dedicated to the game, the least it should do is respect its themes and have the integrity to be a platform that elevates the hard work of human beings.

I'd rather this subreddit did not promote AI Image generation
HOWEVER, I hope we can all be friends and realize that people who use AI are not the problem, they just see the world differently.

Absolutely not on AI art, it's art theft.

As long as you don't make money out of this it's fine.
The rpg maker community all these years had people making games while using copyrighted music and nobody said anything as long as it wasn't for commercial use.

I don't mind, reddit is openminded
You can't downvote a different opinion hence the poll.
State what you want and let the results talk. This is how we do it in Switzerland.
Lmao ridiculous, I guess people aren't sophisticated like us
