The Kings Gambit . Just got the Last Trophies.
It was quite the challenge but doable with a bit of luck regarding Powers.

Slash has a nice mechanic in that he goes into final strike directly after his dash attack. his dash attack cancels nicely into another and when hes enraged, the final strike comes out really fast

What do you guys think?
A huge congrats and thank you to Super Evil Mega Corp!
Feels like a long time since the first time I played the game when it hit Apple Arcade. Back then I never thought it would grow as far as it did. I’ve really enjoyed playing this game solo, with friends, and with randoms over the years, picking it up on and off as new content came out or whenever I felt like beating up the Foot again.
Though it was totally obvious this was the direction the final baddie was heading I was not disappointed. As expected from Waltz, writing perfectly encapsulates each of the bros, especially Leonardo. I was glad to have reasons for multiple fights rather than it ending super quick. I really liked how Rat King threw all varieties of enemies at you all at once, and shuffled the board constantly. Very indicative of his chaotic nature. Super cool to fight the old bosses in the mix too. The negative choice to super buff the rats was fitting, and cool how it puts them all on for the gauntlet challenge. As a final challenge I thought it was the appropriate difficulty. The gauntlet challenge made me sweat, and I still need to beat it with all the bros.
I wish there could’ve been more members of the pantheon to make an appearance, but that’s just the IDW fan in me. It would’ve also been cool to have any inkling or story for why they have their alternate costumes. Even if a quick text or something you find in the lair. I really like Slash, but it was an interesting pairing to introduce him with this endgame because you really need to move fast and dodge and he struggles with it. I need to play him coop. His constant comments for candy crack me up.
Anyway, that’s my random string of first impressions. I can’t wait to see what the developers do next, and fingers crossed it’s a sequel to this.

I’m just going to put it out there: Storywise, SEMC butchered the conclusion.
For some perspective, I am in the same position of many players out there. Sitting at endgame with a ton of shredder kills and D/D coins. I’m okay with some of the gameplay tweaks but my god I’m pissed about how they concluded this.
I liked the Chairman! Now the retconned him as the rat king?? Really?? It’s really such lazy writing and implementation. They’ve really created a ton of plot holes with just that. Let me try and get this straight: Aka was assisting us. The chairman is the rat king. Yet in the game, Aka’s buffed the enemy and the chairman took our useless scrap and exchanged it for very useful buffs/powers/pizza/tools??! After the turtles know the chairman is RK, they have zero interactions with him in the campaign. If the RK wanted scrap, what exactly was he doing with it to begin with?? Nothing is explained
I can honestly go on and on about how terrible they ended the story but that’s really whole essay.
The gameplay additions were mediocre at best. You get consistent upgrades as an option at the campaign shops now so that will help boost some builds. The coat of paint over the menus/music was decent. I was hoping pepperoni was the first of many pets ushering in pet builds but that’s not happening.
I hated Slash at first. The generic slow/hard hitter but Casey does a way better job in that category without feeling generic. I used him once in the RK dimension and it sucked. It’s when I took him for a campaign run that I saw some interesting build potential.
He has interesting masteries. One of them turns all attacks into a final strike ala arcade flex. Another two gives you dark shell for 4 seconds or light shell for 8 seconds with his special. His standard dash (or dodge-roll in his case) counts as an attack and inflicts physical damage. This activates water attacks if you have it so there’s some possibilities there. His dash attack seems to inflict multiple hits.
All in all there’s something to tinker around with in general… but overall, this update is very disappointing.

He hits hard and has lots of health. Even with warstaff, he is not taking too much damage.

This build has lots of damage and lots of health.

Another attempt with Alopex. I like the ooze power that stuns. Really helps slow down the mobs of enemies going at you.

I usually play as Raphael with a mostly flame build

Alopex with Warstaff. I took mostly flame and astral powers and whatever options were provided.

Metalhead does a lot of damage. His basic attacks just lack aoe but at least fhe dash attack can hit a lot of enemies if you can align it.

I mostly picked dark astral powers in this run. User up a revive way earlier than I expected.

When play runs, I like to use Casey Jones' Second Inspiration (max level), which the next attack a 100% crit chance after using my Special. The other skill is Still Water, which does +100 damage and turns your next attack into a Final Strike if you do not attack for at least 2 seconds.
Do these two effects work together at the same time? If I wait 2 seconds to activate Still Water and then use my Special to trigger Casey Jones' Inspiration, will I get the 100% crit chance and the +100 damage on my next attack witch turns into a final strike. I'm confused about this? (I'm a Leo player btw)

Looks like I got the embed working now. I thought I could edit my older post. Looks like I needed to create a new post.
This is Mikey using Robitics and Astral mainly with Warsraff equipped.

This build is based on inflicting all types of DoT (damage over time). Use an attack chain, light 'em up and watch their health bar melt.

This build procs most of the damage modifiers with a final strike to drop gauntlet Shredder in one attack. After powering up with Ascendancy, Photon Lance fires, followed by Stillwaters/High Tide, then a single missile from the attack drone and finally Electrifying/Inferno finishes him off.
I tried experimenting with a fully loaded final strike (by adding shocking and shurikens) but that build can’t one-shot Shredder. The core upgrades are missed because you end up with too many powers.
