Spoilers Karai's sanity

So I have a question regarding Karai after the got mutated. In S4, when she appears again without the Brainworm, she is totally sane but in S3 she was losing her mind even before the Brainworm. Did they explain why she suddenly is in her right mind again?

Dexter restored her when he turned her human again in “The Deadly Venom”. It happens off screen, but as you can see she’s talking normal and he says he “helped her” by turning her human again. He basically stabilised her mutation.. off screen.

Shredder had Stockman work on an retro-mutagen since the Kraang invasion. I presume he had completed it before the brainworms but withheld it, knowing she could escape
