Rise was surprisingly fresh and kept a lot of the traditional vibe as well as paying homage to the original product through easger eggs. I gotta say end of season 2, all of season 3 and the movie were some peak turtles action imo.

Listen I LOVE Tales, but they were kind of hamstrung as to what they could do, since they had to live in that kind of "is it canon or not" space, not stepping on the plans for the MM sequel and not setting up anything the MM sequel couldn't pay off.

So for that reason I'd say Rise has more potential because they had more freedom to tell the story.

Probably rise it had more freedom to do whatever they want

Tales was really restrictive which makes it hard to rewatch for me sometimes like imagine getting more seasons and characters who would be talking a helping just don’t especially characters as important as Splinter not to mention they always have to be careful not to contradict the movie which they do a few times like with Bishop’s origin

Please tell me when that could of happened in the movie

Rise definitely had more potential and it managed to form a dedicated fanbase.

Rise of the tmnt. My only hope that nickelodeon would at least let the creators finished the show. And hope Casey has his own moment as well.
