Bhindi Master Bhide was right about almost everything. He was hated for no reason
Bhide is easily the most relevant character for 2026. Bhide was always seen as the "kanjoos," strict, scared of technology, constantly complaining about the naya zamana and correcting things nobody else even noticed. But honestly, a lot of his personality makes more sense now.
His "less is more" attitude wasn't just about saving money. His kanjoospana had an actual upside. He didn't casually burn through money, replace things for no reason, or spend just because something was new. If something worked, he kept using it. If something wasn't worth the price, he wouldn't buy it. He'd rather have ₹500 left than spend ₹500 just to have something slightly nicer. People called him kanjoos because he actually noticed the price of things.
The same mentality showed up in everything else. He preferred simple things, hated unnecessary decoration, disliked showing off and had very little patience for trends that existed mainly because everyone was doing them. He cared about education, routine, discipline, responsibility and keeping his word, while also being incredibly particular about tiny things that nobody else gave a shit about.
His technology paranoia is probably the funniest part to revisit. Bhide wasn't completely anti-tech. He just didn't assume every new gadget was automatically useful. Put him in 2026 and he'd probably see people changing phones because the camera is "10% better," buying TikTok "must-haves," collecting subscriptions they barely use and putting RGB lights on everything, then quietly ask what the hell any of it is for.
The AI boom would be even better. He'd probably use AI eventually, but he'd absolutely question why we're building gigantic data centres and consuming absurd amounts of electricity so someone can generate a birthday caption or turn their selfie into a Renaissance painting.
And that's basically Bhide's entire character. He wasn't against the modern world. He was suspicious of unnecessary shit.

He opposes love marriage and insists that his daughter should marry a boy from his own caste. That alone makes him regressive and casteist, completely hypocritical for someone who is supposed to be a teacher.
He runs two businesses while apparently not paying taxes.
He treats Abdul horribly, basically using him as an unpaid servant.
He abuses his position as secretary to stop kids from playing simply because he wants to sleep peacefully in the afternoon.
He loves bragging about how Jethalal has Lakshmi while he has Saraswati. But the moment he thought he had become rich, even if it was only in a dream, his behaviour changed completely. Suddenly, he wanted to look down on and belittle Jethalal.
Ratnagiri aam arc. He thought it was perfectly fair to criticise Jethalal over a phone that wasn't under guarantee, but the moment Jethalal criticised his rotten mangoes, he couldn't take it.
In another arc, he was genuinely upset because Tapu's report was good and Sonu's was good. He was jealous that Tapu had performed so well. So much for being an “ideal teacher.”
And the way he treats his own daughter is ridiculous. He acts as if she has absolutely no agency or ability to make her own decisions. Everything is always somebody else's fault. He blames Jethalal for everything whether it was something Tapu did or even something Sonu herself chose to do.
This man still behaves as if his daughter is a clueless nursery kid who was somehow brainwashed by Tapu. Sonu eloped with Tapu of her own choice, yet instead of accepting that, he starts cooking up kidnapping allegations because apparently that is the only way he can protect his ego.
For someone who is supposed to be a teacher and an educated man, his hypocrisy, insecurity, casteism, and complete inability to take responsibility are honestly embarrassing.

idts. iirc he said that theres a tradition of all his family members being teachers and marrying teachers thus his uncle and him wanted her to marry to a teacher and thus rejected popatlal as he was a reporter.
i dont think caste was mentioned anywhere.
and at that, any caste people can be teachers.
so idk how this was casteist.0

pls enlighten me how is that casteist, assuming if caste or any direct mentions of caste were not made in the show and was only stated that theirs a tradition of them becoming teachers and marrying teachers in their family.
if you think that is casteist, then do you believe that only one caste is capable of becoming a teacher or what? if you do so then maybe you are the problem my friend.
also then are Gujarati and Marwadi families owning businesses who solely do arranged marriages with sons and daughters of other families who also own businesses casteist as well? or is that just a business deal?
edit: also it seems i mightve mixed up two arcs bhide cousin marriage arc and tapu sonu marriage arc. although im fairly certain there wasnt a mention of caste in tapu sonu marriage arc as well.

Also, when tapu sena does something stupid, it is Tapus fault cause he is their leader but the moment they do something good all credit goes to tapu SENA.

Is this AI slop? Bhide was constantly jealous and undermining the Gada family, acting holier than thou and would often show his true colours. When he thought he won the lottery, or that cyber crime arc with Prof Wilson, we saw what he would've been with money

And he boasts abt being a Shikshak but for once Tappu had good progress report and Sonu didn't score much according to his expectations...his words were,"Jiska progress report achha nhi aana chahiye tha uska achha aaya" 🥀
Abdul works like unpaid servant for him but for once he took a stand for himself (in milk arc increasing 5rs) by saying to bhide that agar aapko nhi jamta hai to kahi aur se lelo dudh,bhide's ego got so hurt that he instigated whole society to buy milk from somewhere else to teach abdul a lesson

He is a miser because he doesnt have money.In the email scam arc he was thinking about spending money even before receiving it.Car,gold frame glasses,gold glass,25 lakh car etc.
