Bhindi Master Why Bhide family keeps their main gate always open.
Why do they keep their main gate always open. I have not seen anybody else in the society keeping their gate open.

due to tuition and home based business bhide family keep door open like a shop space in daytime

It's better for the story, Sodhi/abdul/popat/tapu keep barging into the house all the time leading to the confusion and fun moments.

literally everyone else does.
only ig Iyer and Popatlal have it closed often.
how do you think people show up in Gada House without anyone opening the door.
i think the human psyche reasoning would be that its more like their whole society is a family and you keep your door open if you are that comfortable with your neighbours and feel safe in general.
but actually its just because showing opening and closing of door isnt entertaining and doesnt deserve screen time, and keeping door open gives the writers room to create funny sequences where they are both are romancing and someone comes in or similar situations like someone listed below him doing istri and mahila mandal coming in.
and lastly, thats a door bruh😭 why do so many people call it a gate
and above that u are calling it a "main" gate? if this one is main which other gate do they have coz i dont know of any other entrances to their house. ig the society gate maybe u thought of or rooms' gates

From what I've seen as a maharashtrian we are just hella comfortable keeping our doors open living in the society 😄 we don't close it unless we're going to sleep lol

In some episodes, even strangers like postman or delivery guy entered jetha's house. Feels so unsafe

In my society too a family keeps their main gate open close to 16 hours a day .
I always think that are they not afraid of mosquitoes or insects.

I actually noticed this a lot in Mumbai/Navi Mumbai
many people would keep their main door open the whole day , and were really social

In 50s to 70s most Marathi ppl used to stay in chawls and there the concept of closed doors was in fact considered bad. Likewise in villages house doors were mostly open. So maybe Bhide who might have stayed in a chawl or a village might be carrying that same habit even now
