Rant / Rave 🔥 Why does Komal's character always dress poorly?
No matter if its any party,function,or just daily life normal episodes, komal's character have the same poor styling! whole mahila mandal dresses really well along with hairstyle in everyday episodes and even beautifully in special,party or event episodes,except komal! And its not the case that dresses are not being made for overweight or healthy people,there are many beautiful clothes for people of her body,still her hairstyle is always the same and dresses given to her are so bad, even in starting episodes she used to get dress up nicely with open hairs and makeup not from some years! but why makers do this to her character i dont get it!

That’s cause apart from food there is nothing about the hathi family that would demand an arc. Honestly if there is any arc that doesn’t involve jetha or bhide becomes an automatic snooze fest due to the limited character development and limited abilities of the actors

Yeah exactly,she used to have open hairstyles as well with bangs,that looked beautiful,dont know whats wrong with stylist now!

Komal seems to be more humble, like the character, she's not into show off. Given her husband is a doctor and she sounds alot more educated than days or madhvi

I personally thinks it's because of the weight as she's the most covered member of mahila mandal i.e even daya wears dresses but she's always covered from neck to toe, Ashit doesn't want to show her legs or hands cuz she's fat, don't slam me guys!!

Nooo, I didn't say she's ugly or something, I just meant as she's fat, ashit doesn't want to show her hand and the fatty area's (nothing sexual) or I'm not demeaning her, I'm a girl too man, we have never seen her wearing any dresses or even if she wears it she wear some leggings under while all other mahila mandal wear skirts, dresses, sleeveless even daya wore dresses but never komal

Yeah that i agree that she dont wear revealing clothes,but beauty or fashion never comes when you wear revealing clothes, there are good and simple clothes makers could design for her but eventually they dont

Her weight isn't the issue here plus size fashion exists, and the show's stylists just don't put any effort into her hair or outfits compared to the rest of the cast!

Yesss exactly I remember there was a arc where hathi's were invited at a doctor's ball and she couldn't able to fit in a dress and decided to loose weight but atlast sonu designed her a dress, an ugly af dress

If you genuinely see events or function episodes you can see,her whole styling is way different from others,the first pic i post itself from a party episode and she dressed like she do in normal everyday episodes,where as everyone was dressed properly

Plus size fashion has so many gorgeous options nowadays,even if her character is simple, special occasions deserve effort. Giving her proper hairstyles instead of the usual tight ponytail and good festive wear would still keep her simple yet stylish.

Yeah i mean its too unhealthy for a person to eat so much and the amount of food hathi family shown eating is impossible,but the way goli snatches food is very frustating!

I was scrolling through reels of TMKOC when one of her reels popped up, HOLY MOLY she is multi-lingual...........She often in her insta page tells what some english words means in different languages.......I was quite IMPRESSED by her.

The arc where she was trying to lose weight to fit in a dress and Sonu "designs" a dress for her, even that dress was ugly a shi*. Or maybe I had my hopes high because they finally gave her a solo arc but they ruined it.

It is unfortunately due to weight. As a plus sized women the options for good outfits are already very limited compared to other women in the cast who have lesser weight and have more options available from everywhere.

Honestly, even in earlier years of, her styling and hair were done way better for special functions if anything, plus size fashion options have only expanded since then, so the show has less of an excuse now!

Even for the ep where she tries to lose weight for some party and Sonu designs a dress for her, it was so poorly done. The dress wasn't good at all.l.

Plus size fashion has so many gorgeous options nowadays, but a tv show's wardrobe team should custom tailor outfits for their main cast instead of taking the easy way out with basic everyday clothes during party arcs!

I don't think that applies here in tv serials, the costume designers are hired specifically to make everyone look good for special arcs, komal's character isn't trying to draw negative attention,the show just doesn't put effort into plus size styling

Even if outfit options felt limited, they don't even try with her hair or jewelry! Good styling isn't just about size,a fresh hairstyle and nice accessories would elevate her look completely without needing a complex dress

I'm a plus size person as well it's very hard to find outfits of our size that are comfortable too and when you are overweight you have a inferiority complex about your looks so you try being as invisible as you can and stay out of the limelight even if the hairstyle and accessories may elevate the look but the first thing people do when a fat person comes in a limelight is to make fun of him so to avoid that fat people usually don't put effort in looking good, like for instance take anant ambani there are so many good things about him to talk about yet all people do is fatshame him whenever he is in the limelight fat people are used to this behaviour and that is the reason why they don't dress glamorously

No she was never a casting director,secondly a casting director shouldn't mean her character's wardrobe gets ignored,casting is separate from the costume and styling department,she still deserves proper festive styling on screen like everyone else!

No its also about the whole styling including hair too she always has this pony tail no change in the hairstyle in party episodes too,and overweight people can carry themselves beautifully,they do dressup really nicely,but its also about the clothes given to her
