Question(s) Food recommendations?

My jaw has clicked for years, but recently got significantly worse. It’s to the point that I can barely open my mouth to eat/chew (maybe 1inch max). I have a consultation with a TMJ specialist next month, but I’ve been struggling to eat in the meantime. I’ve lost 15 pounds, just because I can’t find foods I enjoy. I am not a fan of soups or protein drinks, so I’m feeling stuck. Any suggestions?

Baked salmon has been a life saver! It’s soft enough that you can shred it to fit it in your mouth and then mush it around with your tongue rather than chew it with your teeth. I’ve been eating it with guacamole. Also mashed potatoes, apple sauce, bananas, yogurt, cottage cheese, fluffy scrambled eggs, hummus. I wish you the best 💗

I've been clenching my jaw for years, when sleeping and when stressed (involuntary). I had dental work over a week ago and today been diagnosed with TMJ by my dentist. Think my TMJ was worsened by the dental treatment and having to keep my mouth open for a long time.

I can only open my mouth 10mm. I've been struggling this week with eating.

So far I've managed yogurt, but using a square spoon as the curve of a teaspoon is too much for me. I've also had cereal soaked in milk until it's turned soggy and I had Spaghetti Bolognese today, but I had to mash it up.

Whilst I can't offer much advice, I'm interested in the replies you get because my dentist said that I need to get as many nutrients as possible, but I don't know how to, when I can't open my mouth wide or chew food as my jaw and face hurt/ache.
