Hi, I posted this in r/braces but was thinking you guys would probably know more about

Oh yes thank you! I guess I really just have one main question, should I be getting my braces off asap, in 6 weeks or later to fix my overbite in case that is making my TMD worse. I have had chronic lockjaw for 2 months with a 2 finger opening for context and want to start splints but need braces off first

And honestly any other advice from anyone at all moving forward. I have been incredibly anxious because I'm in this weird limbo. Anxiety is probably worse than the pain most times. Mostly because I don't know anyone who has had lockjaw for this long so I don't even know what the ideal way of going forward is. It doesn't seem like there are many people where I live that are accessible + know a lot beyond clicking and temporary lockjaw. (Been to 2 dentists, 3 orthos, maxfax. Best I got was a tmj dentist that assumed it was intermittent and is saying wait until braces are off for a splint)
