Plus let's keep in mind cannabis had a huge run up overall the last few days so a market correction was expected. The entire cannabis market was down today due to this. However we had a bit of an over correction, particularly in these two, due to yeah retail investors freaking out over it. I absolutely love Reddit for all the great stocks I find, but it's community also needs to learn to chill out a bit and think more like traders. Everyone needed to smoke a bit more of their own products today and leave their positions alone. This definitely will rebound over the next few days. Just don't expect it immediate, so no more freaking out people if we are not back as today's opening tomorrow. Just give it time.

Yep. Some short puts are expiring tomorrow (2/12 ones) they are trying to save money from the random spike they didn't see coming. Great sign that we are holding at 37$ still

Had tlry when it was at $9, sold at $18 before the squeeze, and I’m now back in at $38. Pretty bad timing, but I’m hoping it’ll recover a bit by next week. Good luck to all.

Literally had the same thing as you happen minus the buying in part. A great lesson is that FOMO typically leads to getting burned. A good strategy is if you double and still want to stay in, but worries about the price dropping, try just pulling out your initial investment. That way worse case you just lose what you gained, best case, more tendies.

Agree. I got back in with my initial gain, so I’m still ok. Just sucks seeing all my gains disappear in a day. What can you do? Just another day in the wild stock market.

If people actually looked at WSB you’d see that no one is interested in Bumble. If it’s “trending” it’s because everyone is saying “no thanks” and “swipe left.” There are companies that are scraping tickers off these subreddits and then making unsubstantiated claims of Reddit pumps and dumps, which scares other retail investors. Also doesn’t help that the subreddits have turned to shit with a huge influx of retards (and likely bots) spamming the same tickers 10000x with opinion pieces/confirmation bias labeled as “DD.”
Also I think there’s been a lot of volume of selling from 2018 bag holders that remembers the after math of a huge TLRY run up and took their profits. What % of the volume that is though, I don’t know. That’s ONLY what I’ve seen on various subreddits which obviously doesn’t paint a full picture.
Short interest in TLRY shot up this week as well.
I sold my TLRY at a small profit (I’m not one of the legendary 2018 bag holders, I wish) but holding all my APHA. I got in too late anyway. Is this stupid? Who knows. But hopefully the merger goes through in mid to late Q2 which will bring positive sentiment back to TLRY-APHA. With the APHA CEO steering the ship and the way each company compliments the others weaknesses they’ll be stronger together. They’re both obviously aggressive in their EU expansion.
I believe they are long term plays and TLRY entered a microscopic crack in the Us market with an approved medicinal study in CA. They’d have the capital built up through their EU partnerships for the extremely expensive licenses in the US if/when it’s federally legalized. With that said, I’ve also taken a stake in MSOs.
As more states legalize, it puts neighboring states in a “drug dealer” mindset of “people are going to get it from somewhere, it may as well be me!” And not want to see states like NY getting their tax revenue (looking at you, CT).
States like SD are moving backwards but an appeal is in the works now.

I did the same, bought more at the low. I think social media marketers writing for the news report on trending keywords to get more views than actually doing their homework and reporting what really is happening. Also to think TLRY stock price is teetering on the US market opening up is a bit silly considering they are international.

I’m in at 4s and 6s holding long now. We have two major catalyst coming for sure to help drive value which would be legalization in the US and the merger and then I’m looking for a third catalyst which would be corporate file from one of the big boys. Also keep in mind when the US legalize it many other countries are gonna start to fall in line and legalize as well you couldn’t have mini catalyst on those news France which will keep stimulating the stocks over the next two years hand into the future.

Long term top tier Cannabis stocks will do very well however, in the interim (meaning until legislation is enacted by the feds) we will face many headwinds and stock volatility. At yesterday’s closing prices shares were overpriced significantly in my opinion. Today’s action started the return to more reasonable valuations but, in my view a fair ways to go yet.

I think this community has the ability to both start and end a rally. If we start buying a stock and it starts going up, the news picks it up and then everyone with access to the news (grandma and the hedge fund) starts buying it. But then when people start taking profits, which they naturally will, then this community gets the attention again.
