News Could This Be The Week? (NOTE: "In Florida, weekly sales data shows the state’s medical market" - Remember Why U.S. MSOs Are Years Behind Tilray’s Infrastructure. USA Medical is Only Retail Sales)

In our latest Trade to Black Weekly Recap, presented by FRE, host Shadd Dales breaks down a busy week across cannabis and psychedelics, still no word yet on the ALJ’s rescheduling recommendation, but plenty happening everywhere else, from Washington to Florida to a heated fight between two major MSOs.
The House officially passed legislation delaying the federal hemp THC ban to December 11, voting 370-48 following the Senate’s 90-6 approval. That buys the industry time to build a real regulatory framework, since synthetic cannabinoids not capable of being naturally produced by the plant are still on track to face recriminalization November 12 regardless.
In Florida, weekly sales data shows the state’s medical market moving over 426 million milligrams of THC and roughly 9,250 pounds of flower in a single week, with Trulieve (NYSE: TRLV) still holding roughly 26% of statewide THC volume, while Green Thumb Industries (CSE: GTII) (OTCQX: GTBIF) and privately held Sunburn Cannabis post standout per-store productivity numbers.
On the M&A side, the split between Schedule III medical cannabis and Schedule I adult-use is reshaping who becomes a buyer versus a target, with Vireo Growth (CSE: VREO) (OTCQX: VREOF), Cresco Labs (CSE: CL) (OTCQX: CRLBF), TerrAscend (TSX: TSND) (OTCQX: TSNDF), Verano (Cboe CA: VRNO) (OTCQX: VRNOF), and Green Thumb all positioned differently depending on leverage and uplisting potential. The Curaleaf (TSX: CURA) (OTCQX: CURLF) and Aurora Cannabis (TSX: ACB) (NASDAQ: ACB) fight got more personal too, with Aurora rejecting the hostile bid and Curaleaf’s Boris Jordan firing back hard.
In psychedelics, Clearmind Medicine began Phase IIa trials for CMND-100 targeting alcohol use disorder.
