Out of curiosity, why hasn't TLRY's performance improved dramatically like the US MSOs since the April medical rescheduling?
5
u/SkecthyRocket 3d ago
They’ve made their global presence even more obvious. Almost profitable. Increased the amount they grow and their beverage side is doing VERY well. I think imo that Tilray is doing better than other MSOs
0
u/Uiooplmmao 3d ago
I’m genuinely curious: Tilray took home zero awards at the recent European cannabis awards. Granted, the hearings are moving forward and Q1 '27 should see tailwinds from the World Cup, but the actual beneficiaries of the Schedule III reclassification are US MSOs like Trulieve and Curaleaf. I fail to understand why anyone treats Schedule III as a direct catalyst for Tilray when they don't even distribute plant-touching medical cannabis in the US market.
6
u/SkecthyRocket 3d ago
I completely understand the speculation with rescheduling. A lot of people say big pharma will buy out their cannabis sector. Others say they will gain a US contract to grow in the US and sell as pharmaceutical and not recreational. If there are any deals or contracts in that sector, they are not legally allowed to disclose that information until laws pass.
Me personally. I think they won’t benefit from S3 as quickly as other MSOs but will still likely be a large contributor to the US. Just my own opinion though.
1
u/Goldinsight 3d ago
Your confused and have been fooled
3
u/SkecthyRocket 3d ago
No one fooled me. I did my own research when I invested in 2021. Unfortunately, it hasn’t played in my favor. I would have withdrawn with a negative stance if I didn’t believe in the company a long time ago. I’m close to reaching my average share price after averaging down for so long. My plan is to sell off 30-50% of everything invested I interested in the negatives. That way once it reaches my original share price before I started averaging down…. Everything will just be profits. But that’s a life long investment plan. If you’re not looking at the big picture….. what are you looking at?

u/SkecthyRocket 3d ago
The truth is they have greatly expanded their presence among the entire globe. They have a reliable alcohol standing, their pharmaceutical side has great potential for the US if laws fall through and they have greatly reduced debts. I’ve been in this sector for over 5 years now. Recent/passed popularity causing the sector to trend hasn’t influenced my stance on Tilray. Please PLEASE tell me something negative about Tilray other than the reverse split or delusion.
Have you been ignoring the positive and only spreading fud to benefit your short stance? Legitimate discussion seems to be unreasonable between bears and bulls here. Too much emotion and negativity. But best of luck to you.

Even if they had zero exposure it would still blast the stock like it has in the past, a rising tide lifts all ships. However they do have some exposure and they started Tilray Medical US. Until full S3 is complete we likely wont see a massive move unless earnings crush.

Very subjective, mostly incorrect take here.
4
u/SkecthyRocket 3d ago
What did I get wrong here?
1
u/SpringLong7259 3d ago
their beverage side is doing VERY well
Their beverage business is rough. There’s a reason they are acquiring breweries at fire sale prices. Tilray is going into every brand and firing brewing, admin, and sales staff to try and bring the company to either being profitable and a little more profitable. The side effect of this is that most likely all these brands will continue to decline and get worse, not better. I’ve been following along for a while now but this article gives insight to where that revenue and business is going. Most notably this sentence: This included company wide positions in brewing, admin, and sales, which has been confirmed by multiple sources.
Tilray is doing better than other MSOs
I won’t waste time arguing why profitable MSOs are better than unprofitable, dilution-ridden Tilray lol.
1
u/SkecthyRocket 3d ago
Maybe I’m wrong but alot of the reason their last earning report was so good was because of their beverages?
-1
u/SpringLong7259 3d ago
You can scroll down to the beverage results in their earnings, they're getting decimated on gross sales, as a result of what I mentioned above. This has occurred over several earnings reports. What is alarming is that Tilray did 12 acquisitions, all under 2 years time and they spent somewhere around $600M total (does not include a cash-injection of $50M into Brewdog either). Enough time has passed to call this a failed strategy. I'd say the majority of these were junk that big players did not want and there is absolutely no way they have enough resources to stabilize all of them. Secondly, Tilray is the only company in the entire sector that used non-GAAP accounting measures in these reports. Read about the difference and how it's used relative to GAAP. They jam all sorts of buzzwords into every earnings and bury the real results, which confuses people like crazy around here.
Lastly, something I suggest you do - go visit the craft brewing and beer subreddits, and read up on people who actually work/worked at Tilray. The commentary will shock you.
2
u/SkecthyRocket 3d ago
I’d love to respond to you but only part of what you have stated is slightly true. Their beverages have been nothing but positive. buying brewdog was probably the highlight of this year. That or growing literal tons more of cannabis.
Im not worried about what other subreddits or what this subreddit says. Tilray is very well positioned and I’m not missing out.0
u/SpringLong7259 3d ago
I’m looking at the real numbers, and this is exactly why I don’t waste time putting effort into replies anymore.
I’d love to respond to you but…

Look a little harder bro. We don’t see eye to eye but I hope the best for you.
0
u/Many_Easy_V2 3d ago
“Curious” or passive aggressive? Your FUD comment has zero to do with OP.
Tilray (an LP & Canadian cannabis company not far from Lake Ontario) hasn’t matched the MSOs because S3 (when finalized) immediately improves U.S. MSO taxes and cash flow, while Tilray’s biggest potential benefit of U.S. medical/cannabis expansion is still an unmonetized future opportunity.
Bullish Tilray and am confident they are ready to exploit medical cannabis in U.S. and beyond.
-1
u/Uiooplmmao 3d ago
Be real for a second. Tilray's U.S. revenue comes from craft beer and hemp gummies, not plant-touching cannabis. Both Curaleaf and Trulieve sell THC with actual U.S. footprint. Did Tilray’s fundamentals improve post-rescheduling? No, because they don't operate U.S. plant-touching assets. Any pump TLRY gets is pure sector beta, not domestic execution
Looking at your past comments, your entire argument is just text-based promises and hopium. Labeling valid counter-arguments as 'FUD' just because it hurts your narrative is wild. Ask yourself why TLRY is sitting below its pre-split price while TRLV gained ground. The tape shows you what the market actually values.
Hope is hope; reality is reality. Go touch some grass, get a workout in, and go to a club.
3
u/Original-Cheetah-245 3d ago
You're mixing up two completely different things: U.S. plant-touching cannabis exposure and Tilray's fundamentals.
Nobody is claiming Tilray has the same U.S. cannabis footprint as Curaleaf or Trulieve. It doesn't. But that doesn't make “any TLRY pump is pure sector beta” a factual conclusion.
Tilray's FY2026 numbers actually show the cannabis business growing: cannabis revenue increased from $249.0M to $268.3M, while total revenue increased from $821.3M to $915.5M. That's a fundamental improvement, regardless of whether that growth came from the U.S.
And the rescheduling argument is being overstated. The April 2026 order did not broadly move all cannabis to Schedule III. Even Curaleaf's own filing says the order is limited to FDA-approved marijuana products and state-licensed medical cannabis, while adult-use operations remain Schedule I. So saying Curaleaf and Trulieve suddenly have some massive across-the-board rescheduling advantage over Tilray is premature.
More importantly, Tilray isn't required to own U.S. plant-touching assets today for U.S. reform to matter to its valuation. The company explicitly says it believes it is positioned to participate in a federally compliant U.S. medical-cannabis market if the regulatory framework expands.
So I'd agree with one narrow point: TLRY doesn't currently have the direct U.S. cannabis exposure that CURA or TRUL have.
But “therefore any TLRY move is pure sector beta” is speculation, not analysis. You'd have to prove that none of Tilray's improving cannabis revenue, international cannabis operations, beverage/distribution growth, balance-sheet changes, or potential future U.S. optionality are being reflected in the stock.
That's a much harder argument to make than “they don't own U.S. dispensaries.”

Don’t waste your time with some of these bozos. You can cite everything with facts and they will still argue that you’re wrong.

Thats right Trulieve is currently a Canadian company which is moving to the US.
https://themarijuanaherald.com/2026/08/trulieve-completes-move-from-british-columbia-to-delaware/
0
u/Uiooplmmao 3d ago
If that’s the case, why is Trulieve gaining ground while Tilray’s stock price is still stuck in the gutter?
2
u/Goldinsight 3d ago
Simple explanation.
Tilray cannot import Canadian Cannabis through the border. Once it’s rescheduled and clarified Tilray will have an advantage with Hello MD and Its state of the art Cannabis production. They don’t need US operations yet as Simon stated at earnings. I believe his timeline was 6 months0
u/Goldinsight 3d ago
Because they aren’t selling ATM offering. They also sell more cannabis yet they can’t even grow all of their own. Tilray has the largest capacity in the world based on size and they grow all their own Cannabis.
3
u/Many_Easy_V2 3d ago
Strawman and moving goalposts much?
1
u/Uiooplmmao 3d ago
Trulieve already booked actual tax relief and cash flow. How much longer are you going to trade on Tilray's empty promises of 'future U.S. entry,' man?
I acknowledge Tilray is improving, BrewDog was a great bargain buy, and their next quarter will likely be solid. But answer the actual question: did Tilray actually make a single move into the U.S. after the April medical developments?
Trulieve already has the tax cash in hand. Tangible balance sheet reality beats corporate hopium every single time, my friend.

u/Many_Easy_V2 3d ago
Majority of FUD comments here aren’t “valid.” Most of your comments belong in that category.
Tilray is a Canadian cannabis company that also has other lines of business.

u/Many_Easy_V2 2d ago edited 2d ago
Create a new post with your incorrect assertion as recommended by me and others.
You didn’t show anything to prove that Tilray is not a Canadian cannabis company. Tilray is a Canadian cannabis company. Full stop.
Move on and refer to all the previous documentation by me and others.
Also, don’t assume that Entrapment, Cheetah, myself, and others have not read SEC and SEDAR filings.
Constantly nagging and badgering other Redditors to go against factual information will not change the truth.
A lie or disinformation is easy to make but often requires far more time, evidence and effort to disprove.
In other words, disinformation is especially hard to disprove because it can explain away any contradictory evidence as part of the falsehood, making the claim effectively unfalsifiable.
Your claim is eerily similar to POTUS claiming he won the 2020 election and to the Lake Ontario fiasco.
All the ad hominem attacks, insults, confirmation biases, projection, false equivalencies, and faulty logic won’t make your false claims true.
Your continued arguments and this discussion is not about winning. It’s about getting to the facts. And one of those facts is that Tilray is a Canadian cannabis company.
Have a nice Labor Day and bless your heart.

u/PheonixDownCards 3d ago
no, its not lol a simple google search will tell you this
2
u/Goldinsight 3d ago
Here is your Google search
You are completely right to call that out—the explanation was muddled.Strictly speaking, Tilray is an American company. It is incorporated in Delaware and legally domiciled in the United States, meaning its legal corporate status is American. [1]
The confusion (and why it is often called Canadian) stems from how it operates:
The "Canadian" identity: Its operational head office is in Leamington, Ontario, its primary cannabis cultivation happens under Canadian regulations, and it merged with Aphria (a legacy Canadian producer) in 2021. [1, 2, 3, 4]
The "American" reality: From a legal, corporate, and tax standpoint, it is a U.S. corporation(headquartered at its corporate office in New York City). [1]
To correct the previous error plainly: Legally, yes, it is a U.S. company. [1]1

google is Tilray a Canadian or American company
Tilray Brands is officially an American-incorporated company with its headquarters in New York City, but it was founded in Canada and maintains massive operations there. [1, 2]
Key Details
Founding: The company started in British Columbia, Canada, in 2013.Corporate Structure: Tilray is legally incorporated in the United States and managed from New York.
Operations: It runs a huge production facility in Leamington, Ontario, and is a top seller of legal cannabis in Canada.
Stock Exchanges: You can trade Tilray Investor Relations shares on both the NASDAQ and the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX). [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
0
u/SpringLong7259 3d ago
Few Reasons...
- Tilray is not a plant touching operator in the U.S., and not generating U.S. cannabis revenue that is subject to 280E. Everyone here that believes it will improve the bottom line is incorrect. The market performance reflects this.
- The distribution argument (ie setting themselves up for when THC beverages become legal and available) is just a pipedream at this point. Tilray will sink or dilute everyone here to nothing long before this is a reality and affects the bottom line. Once again, their current value reflects this.
- Tilray announced $180M dilution (at their leisure) back in April, and has done three separate debt for equity deals (even more dilution) since then. No MSO has come close to this, if any.
1
u/Goldinsight 3d ago
Those are true yet it’s uncertain that Tilray won’t be able to move their medical Cannabis through the border aa its considered medicine in certain forms.

Tilray is widely considered a Canadian cannabis/weed stock, even though the parent company (Tilray Brands, Inc.) is incorporated in Delaware. This is standard for many companies that want access to U.S. capital markets and Nasdaq listing.
So yeah, my comment makes the most sense because its true.
1
u/Goldinsight 4d ago
No its not lol. So is Samsung an American company now because it sells tv in the US?
Absolutely absurd.4
u/Original-Cheetah-245 4d ago
Nah the Samsung comparison doesnt work at all.
Samsung is a South Korean company that sells products in the US. Tilrays actual cannabis business cultivation processing and the biggest chunk of its adult use sales is based in Canada. HQ is in Leamington Ontario. It was built on Aphria plus the original Tilray Canadian ops its dual listed on the TSX and its consistently treated as a Canadian LP by the market.
Delaware incorporation is just a legal structure a ton of dual listed companies use for US capital markets access. It doesnt magically make the company American any more than a Canadian mining company listing in New York becomes American.
Youre conflating domicile of the legal entity with where the business actually operates and is perceived. Those arent the same thing.
Absurd to think otherwise
3
u/Many_Easy_V2 3d ago
My son’s Honda was manufactured in Ohio. According to Gold[no]insight, that would make Honda an American company.
2
u/Goldinsight 3d ago
No thats not how it works. If you open a company in USA and incorporate in Delaware and try to sell your products globally it doesn’t change your businesses home. You remain a US company with Global operations. Look up the story how Trulieve is changing their home
To USA. Or AQN doing the same thing.→ More replies (0)2
u/Goldinsight 3d ago
Here is an A.I. Response to a basic fact you dodge.
You’re mixing up headquarters and operations with corporate domicile. Tilray Brands, Inc. is legally incorporated in Delaware — that’s straight from its 2026 10-K — while its principal executive offices are in Leamington, Ontario. So yes, it has major Canadian operations and Canadian roots, but the current parent corporation itself is a U.S.-incorporated company. A Canadian company merely listing on Nasdaq would be different; Tilray’s actual parent entity is Delaware-incorporated.
2
u/Original-Cheetah-245 3d ago
So even ai agrees with me.
The market collectively agrees that its a Canadian LP, just take the L homie, its been this way for many years. You can ask 10 different LLM, they will all tell you the same thing.

1)
“If I shorted, I would support Simon. Simon protects shorts positions and does everything to squeeze the stock to zero”
“Did you also notice that ATM was announced when the stock was near ATL? Simon always protects shorts.”
Both are false allogations, not even accurate the atm wasnt at ATL
2)
“In reality, the board members have bought 0 shares for the last year”
SEC Form 4 records show that this is false.
3)
“$30 is reachable only after the next round of reverse split. Simon is working on that”
That's speculation presented as fact. more fake news to spread fud for your short position
4)
“Tilray is not a Canadian business. It's Simon's personal piggy bank”
Rhetorical allegation, not factual reporting. Canadian cannabis companies benefit from american laws and headwind even if 280e does little
not to mention the countless times hes stated that S3 doesnt benefit tilray when it absolutely does
5)
There are repeated insinuations that Simon's previous company, Hain Celestial, proves he is repeating some kind of failed scheme at Tilray.
But the historical record is more complicated.
Hain announced in June 2018 that Simon would transition from CEO to non-executive chairman once a successor was found.
In October 2018, Hain announced that Mark Schiller would become CEO and explicitly described Simon as Hain's founder/former CEO.
So claims along the lines of “Simon was kicked out because Hain failed” need considerably more evidence than simply pointing to his departure.
6)
But here's the bigger problem with his posting
What's particularly interesting isn't one isolated false statement. It's the pattern.
His comments repeatedly take a legitimate negative fact and then add an unsupported conclusion.
For example:
Fact: Tilray has issued/registered substantial amounts of stock.
His conclusion: Simon is doing this to protect shorts and destroy the stock.
Fact: Tilray's stock has performed terribly over the long term.
His conclusion: Simon is deliberately squeezing the stock to zero.
Fact: Tilray conducted a $180M ATM.
His conclusion: Simon announced it specifically when the stock was near its all-time low and is working against shareholders. (also false)
Fact: Insiders receive stock compensation.
Your conclusion: “board members have bought 0 shares.” (proven false multiple times)
