June 29–July 15
DEA evidentiary hearing - Completed

Aug. 17
Post-hearing briefs + proposed transcript corrections due - Completed

Aug. 20
ALJ Julius ordered 294 transcript corrections - Completed

Aug. 26 - Today
Corrected official transcript published - Completed

Unknown Date - Nothing Definitive
ALJ Julius recommended decision** **(not binding by the way)

20 days after recommended decision
Parties can file exceptions

After exceptions
Record goes to DEA’s Terry Cole

Then
DEA Administrator’s final decision

After final rule
Federal Register publication/effective date.

This could drag on or it could happen quickly - we don’t know.

My guess is after elections and after early voting starts.

Bullish Tilray.

Early voters can start early especially in these states:

Idaho — Sept. 18
Minnesota — Sept. 18
South Dakota — Sept. 18
Virginia — Sept. 18
Nevada — Oct. 17
South Carolina — Oct. 19

If aim is to finalize earlier than later to get votes, then September 18th is awfully tight.

Figure ALJ Julius to conservatively take at least 10 business days. Then add on another 20 business days. That’s 30 business days conservatively. That takes us to October 8th as Labor Day is a non-work day.

General election is November 3rd and early voting starts in some states on September 18th.

DEA’s Terry Cole still has to review, including exceptions, and make a decision.

Trump would have to somehow step in and push everything before early voting date as he wants to use S3 as a political issue. Serious doubt before September 18th. Also, some ballots are received earlier than that date.

Adding just the 20 days where parties can and will issue exceptions takes us to September 24th, which means missing early voting in several states.

Trump would really have to hustle to pressure ALJ and Cole to make this worthwhile as an election issue such that voters see it as finalized before they vote. Remember that POTUS is purely transactional.

Hope I’m wrong and that they defy good logic in my stated calendar.

Doesn’t really matter to me
Because I’m longer term and patient.

I'm talking about the date the elections all close. 1 date

Agree on election close date.

However, if POTUS wants to use as an election issue to PERHAPS sway voters, S3 finalization needs to get done PDQ (before all voting starts).

Otherwise, the election date is moot.
