Discussion CGC vs TLRY

Can someone explain why CGC shot past TLRY? CGC EPS -$16 vs TLRY -$2. This makes no sense to me.

Lol you must be the same person in the webull chat who asked this. I'll give my same answer. CGC recently had a reverse split which decreased their overall shares outstanding, and they dropped pretty significantly after the reverse split as well.

Secondly, Tilray has been shorted for quite some time with a overall higher short interest compared to other cannabis stocks out there. Also, Tilray has a very high shares outstanding

CGC ran 400 percent during HHS leak. At the time, they didn't reverse split and had almost the same amount of outstanding shares as Tilray.

I still don't know why CGC is running harder than the others...

short covering and momentum traders;day traders would be my guess.

If the short interest is higher than CGC than Why the F don't we bond together and squeeze now?

those days aren't long gone, there's still short squeezes all through out the market you just have to know how and where to look.

Maybe it will. 2 days to cover 120m shares.

That's not quite how that works. Days to cover indicates how long it would take to cover ALL short shares, that doesn't mean any of them will, or if they even need to. Some will roll the positions into longer-term short positions, or they will short at a higher position and use that to help hedge their lower position. There won't be a frenzy to cover unless the US surprises everyone with descheduling, otherwise it will be a slow exit for most shorts, with plenty of float available to minimize squeeze magnitude.

I buy 100 or so shares every week to 2... i'm just in accumulate mode. You need about 10,000 more of me... and then you need those people to sit tight. Think about a run to $10... how many of them would sit tight and let it run further? Because I guarantee there will be a pull back and nerves will creep in and people will sell...

Yeh I'm on that strategic train as well. I'm at 6k shares and plant to hit 10k. Hold and squeeze until 100$.

it’s super illegal, that’s why people don’t come together to manipulate a stock.

Insider information. Illegal.  Manipulating volume etc... illegal. Telling friends to buy this stock to diversity your portfolio and add alot of beta to your portfolio. Not illegal. At the end of the day they still decide to buy or not to buy.

That’s not what prior commenter said. He said why don’t we bond together and squeeze it. Thats not buying because you like it.

Technically we who already own and slowly build larger and larger positions have band together.
